24 Overview of PCP SW Eligibility Criteria Funding Support Work Attachment Accelerated Bachelor of Social Work (ABSWK) Trainees must: Be 21 years old and above Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident Have at least 2 years of working experience Graduate Diploma of Social Work (GDSWK) Secure employment with a participating employer (VWO or hospital) Meet entry requirements of the course set by UniSIM Course fee subsidy Monthly salary support (as part of the salary) 4-full day work week (Strongly Recommended) 4-full day work week (Strongly Recommended) Course Duration 24 months 18 months Bond 24 months 18 months

25 Course Details Entry Requirement Course Structure Accelerated Bachelor of Social Work (ABSWK) GCE A level with two passes or two H2 passes; or a local Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent Classes conducted on weekday evenings, three times a week Graduate Diploma of Social Work (GDSWK) Degree from a recognised university Classes conducted on Saturday To graduate, students are required to complete a total of 130 credit units (cu) courses including 10cu of University core modules and a 400-hour practicum. To graduate, students are required to complete 3 prerequisite modules, 6 core modules, any 4 electives and a 400-hour practicum. Commencement Date 20 July July 2015

28 Salary Support Work-Study Model: Trainees are required to be on work attachment throughout the course. Trainees will be offered salaries computed based on educational qualifications, relevant work experience and actual work hours (Salary will be computed by individual hiring employers). 29 Salary Support WDA provides salary support based on 70% of basic monthly salary capped at $2,000 per month for eligible Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents. Singaporeans aged 40 years old and above, or unemployed for more than six months: 90% of monthly salary, cap at $4,000 per month. Salary support will be disbursed to the employers.

30 Overall Funding Support Per Trainee The funding package at the point of training completion could amount to roughly : Funding by WDA, SSI/ Employers Accelerated Bachelor of Social Work $49, ( Computed based on 35% of course fees funding and 70% of recommended salary amount, $2,300) Graduate Diploma in Social Work $51,075 ( Computed based on 90% of course fees funding and 70% of recommended salary amount, $2,850) Nett Fee by Trainee $3, (10% for SC) $14, (45% for PR) (exclusive of GST) $1,685 (exclusive of GST)

31 Liquidated Damages Should a trainee withdraw from the Programme, whether during the course of study or during the bond period, the trainee will be liable for liquidated damages payable to the sponsoring institution(s). The amount payable will depend on various factors including the costs incurred by WDA, SSI or the employer as well as the terms of the training deed(s). CONFIDENTIAL 32

32 Trainees to Commit 36/48 months Prior to course commencement in Jul 2015, trainees are required to sign a Letter of Undertaking (LOU) with SSI and/or employers Key points in the LOU and training deed include: Trainee to complete the course at UniSIM and to fulfill the work attachment with employer Trainee to work as a Social Worker for at least 18 months (Grad Dip) or 24 months (Accelerated Bachelor) upon completion of training In view of any breach of contractual terms, funders reserve the right to recover all costs incurred including course fee funding and salary support from trainee

Trainee to Secure Employment PCP Applications & Career Previews 1 Dec-15 Jan 15 NCSS arranges for shortlisted candidates to meet with employers Employers to short-list candidates for 2 nd interview at their premises Conditional offer of employment to trainee(s) by 15 Mar 15 Classes commence in 20 Jul 15 (ABSWK) 25 Jul 15 (GDSWK) 2 Feb, 10 Feb 15 2 Feb-15 Mar 15 Trainees sign Letter of Undertaking with sponsors (Jun 15) 3. Signing of Contracts Trainees sign employment contract with VWO (Jun 15) Trainees apply to UniSIM UniSIM screens trainees for course eligibility Successful trainees receive official letter of acceptance from UniSIM 2. Confirmation of placement with UniSIM
