4 Who's Gonna Love Me Now? is a film about Saar, a gay man from a religious family in Israel. After being kicked out of his conservative kibbutz because of his sexual orientation, Saar flees to London where he enjoys a gay lifestyle denied to him in Israel. He lives the dream, but wakes up to a nightmare when he discovers that he has contracted HIV. When he breaks the news to his family, they struggle with fears and prejudices. With the support and warmth of Saar's surrogate brothers- the London Gay Men s Chorus- he begins a reconciliation process with his biological family in Israel. SYNOPSIS Saar finds himself torn between the two worlds and must make a decision: should he return to Israel and embrace his family once more, or stay in London and live in exile forever. Saar and the rest of the London Gay Men's Chorus provide a glorious soundtrack for this tender, honest and intimate film by acclaimed directors Barak Heymann and Tomer Heymann ("Mr. Gaga", "Paper Dolls", "I shot my Love"). Shot over several years, this documentary is about the power of forgiveness and the power that home has, no matter how far we go.

5 Who's Gonna Love Me Now? is a natural and direct extension of our documentary work with complex questions concerning family relationships, immigration, sexuality, and whether home is necessarily the place where we were born and raised or it is possible to move it elsewhere, and if we do what is the price we pay? This film, like our previous ones, is rooted in a long-term relationship with the hero, and based on emotional, dramatic scenes that happen in real time in front of the camera over a number of years of close documentation. DIRECTORS STATEMENT The hero s profound and painful mental process during the film, which involves his entire family, contains all the elements that make this human story so fascinating, surprising, and inspiring for us. Hopefully, our viewers will feel the same. The film s protagonists are not afraid to expose their fears and anxieties in a brave, authentic, and honest way, and due to their honesty which is often painful and hard to digest they try to do what is so hard for most of us to contain each other despite the differences in lifestyles and perceptions. Who's Gonna Love Me Now? is a film about the need and ability to reconcile and forgive, and that the only way to deal with trauma or pain is to look it, oneself and one s significant others in the eye keenly and uncompromisingly. We are grateful to these courageous people, who allowed us into their poignant emotional process, which is the heart of our film.

8 Tomer Heymann & Barak Heymann Since establishing the production company, Tomer Heymann (Israel, 1970) and Barak Heymann (Israel, 1976), have directed and produced over 20 documentary films and series, some as international co-productions. Tomer and Barak s carefully selected cinematic projects offer a personalized perspective of the complicated political situation in Israel, and deal with issues of minorities and human rights, appealing both to the local and the international documentary markets. DIRECTORS BIOGRAPHY Their films premiered in numerous festivals worldwide (such as BERLINALE, IDFA, LOS ANGELES INT'L FILM FESTIVAL, DOKLEIPZIG, BFI LONDON FILM FESTIVAL, SHEFFIELD and HOTDOCS), won prestigious awards and were theatrically released around the world. Several retrospectives have been dedicated to the Heymann Brothers in recent years in New York, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Tel Aviv, and different cities in Europe. Tomer and Barak both teach in several film schools in Israel and are currently engaged in a number of ongoing international co-productions.

11 Alexander Bodin Saphir - Co-director & Producer Alexander Bodin Saphir grew up in England and Denmark and has written and directed a number of short films. He also writes children's fiction and is Author-in-Residence at Great Ormond Street Hospital where he teaches and is collaborating with the children on a new science/adventure book. He holds an MA in Scriptwriting from Goldsmiths College and a BA in 'Neurophilsophy' from Duke University, NC. MAIN ROLLS Ashley Luke - Executive Producer Ashley Luke has sold films (Poison, Paris is Burning - both Teddy winners in Berlin), acquired films for Channel 4 and Dendy Films (Hal Hartley films included), developed and acquired them for Fortissimo Films and overseen and run for several years Australia's leading script workshop Aurora and a short film fund in Sydney. Over the last 27 years he has been involved in films internationally and in every way, from idea to audience. Now based again in the UK he is consulting and Executive Producing. Ron Omer - Editor Ron Omer has been editing films and series (mainly features) for almost twenty years. The highly appreciated film "Mr Gaga", which in Israel has been viewed by over 65,000 cinemagoers since it was released last November (and which will be screened this year at the Berlinale as part of EFM), was the first time he cooperated with. The many films that he has edited include the award-winning Bethlehem that participated in many film festivals such as Venice, Telluride, and Toronto. Itai Raziel - Cinematographer Itai Raziel is a graduate of the School of Film and Television of the Tel Aviv University. As of 1999 Itai has been working as a cinematographer and is renowned to be one of the leading names in the television and cinematic industry in Israel. For over a decade, Itai has been cooperating closely with the Heymann brothers working on documentaries such as "Aviv - Fucked Up Generation", "Bridge Over the Wadi", "Paper Dolls" (which was screened in the Berlinalle in 2006) and "Mr Gaga".
