16 General options and Euro Air specialities Mini cleat. Outlets can be fitted with sewn in pull cord, which can be keeled into the cleat. Available for round- and half round outlets (see example below) Internal steel rings, fitted inside outlet with velcro for ease of maintenance. Mat.: S.S. AISI 314 (for systems with low- or fluctuating pressure). Assures that outlets are fully stretched Metu frame, for connection to rectangular steel ductwork, also compatible with LS-system. (Transition from rectangular into round also textile) Special suspension feeder tool for outlets using a combination of either Flexrail and Fasttrack or Wingrail and Fasttrack. (Reduces the number of man hours needed to mount an outlet) D-Luxe bottom (for half round outlets). Wingrail installation is finished of with an aluminium end piece that snaps into the rail without the use of tools. At the end of the outlet, two mini cleats are fitted in the rail openings, into which the sewn-in pull cord can be locked in position. This ensures a beautiful and fully extended outlet with wrinkle free appearance. Ducts can be made with antistatic material for eliminating build-up of static electricity (primarily used in EXareas and the electronics industry) 2.5.3

33 Sizing of outlets with sewn-in slot diffusers The exit velocity through the orifices has great influence on the degree of mixing with the room air achieved, and the throw gained. The pattern of the holes is standardized, so that a given static pressure always gives the same exit velocity (However, as always options are possible, please call us if you have a application calling for a non-standard selection). Inlet surface EURO AIR has determined the standard diameter and the pattern of the holes. A change in the orifice surface can only be made by changing the number of hole rows (as a rule, but options are possible, see above). Euro Air uses the number of hole rows as a parameter for the orifice surface. Air volume Normally the air volume given is for the entire length of the outlet. However, the possibility also exists that the Inject outlet is used for part air transfer, and part introduction of inlet air. In this case, the outlet diameter must be sized for the total airflow, whilst the number of hole rows is found using only the inject part of the air flow. Air inlet direction The orientation of the orifices can be given as a vector, or alternatively as a time (O clock). In our standard 12:00 equals 0 / 360 degrees, 15:00 equals 90 degrees, 18:00 equals 180 degrees, etc. The orientation of orifices is always given with refence as: Section view: Seen en into outlet in direction of airflow. Products EURO AIR uses the following materials for Inject Socks: Polyester weave, coated on both sides, airtight, fireclass B2 (DIN 4102). 34 Calculation Inject outlets Necessary data: Example: Given: Solution: EURO AIR recommend to work with a static pressure inside bracket 70 to 120 Pa and to keep inlet velocities below 8 m/s. If these values are exceeded, please contact your local EURO AIR office, who will help you by finding the correct solution. Half round inject outlets The half round Inject outlets differs only by it s shape from the round Inject outlet, so only when sizing diameter, please turn to charts 10,11 or 12 instead of 3,4 or

36 Sizing of membrane outlets Basically we are here dealing with a combination of a diffuse half round outlet (upper part), and slot diffuser- or nozzle type half round outlet (lower part). The diameter must be selected using the projected airflow and in conjunction with charts 3,4 or 5 depending on air flow. Then size each part of the outlet (upper and lower) as you would for the stock item, only paying very much attention to reaching identical pressures for the two halves. This is often easier er said then done when sizing manually. We will often end up combining several permeabilties in order to reach the correct air flow for each part, at the same pressure. If this is neglected, the outlet will give varying air flows, depending on membrane unit running in heating- or cooling mode. This can of course not be accepted, and for the same reason Euro Air prefers to size these outlets, to the specification needed from the customer. Therefore, the above is only intended to give you a glimpse of the parameters involved, for product awareness

Installing round outlets on single- or double horizontal cable - Suspend main horizontal cable at desired height, using turnbuckle(s) and wire locknuts. - Attach 1 pcs. strap-up to overhead anchor point for every 5 meters of outlet, and fasten strap-up to main wire to maintain a straight and level run. - Mount the outlet to the cable using the sewn-in clips fitted to the outlet - Fix outlet to steel duct / Fan opening using steelor textile clamp - Stretch the outlet to fully extended position, and fix the last clip to the main wire using wire lock nut. - Outlets with diameters Ø800 or larger must be mounted on two parallel main wires. If this is not adhered to, Euro Air A/S will not warrant claims involving clips/wire/strap-up s or any other products involved mounting the outlets. We normally advise customers to use double cable suspension for diameters Ø630 and upwards, due to aesthetics and to minimize the drop that will occur if a single row suspended outlet is deflated. 1. 61 GB Washing instructions Cleaning of polyester and Trevira CS Wash 2-4 times at max 40 C with washing powder in accordance to instructions by manufacturer. If outlets are heavily soiled, they should be rinsed between washes. If the outlets are to be disinfected, add min. 200 mg/l of active chlorine to the final rinse water (N.B. colored socks can loose some of their color when disinfected) Rinse outlets in clean cold water. Socks can be spin dried, the exception being outlets with internal rings. Here the rings must removed prior to drying. Chemical cleaning of polyester and Trevira CS Chemical cleaning of outlets should only be attempted in cases where the outlets are slightly dirty.to achieve some degree of disinfection, it is recommend to use chemical cleaning with perchlorethylen. Washing or chemical cleaning, clean room materials Washing or chemical cleaning of clean room materials is not recommend under normal circumstances, but is possible following the procedures given for Polyester and Trevira CS material. If the fabric turns slightly grey during operation, the pre-filtration should be examined and possibly exchanged for a filter better suited. During the washing procedure, particles can be picked up by the fabric and later blown into the room. If the clean room socks are being washed there is no further guarantee for the function of the socks from EURO AIR, with regards to particle count. Cleaning of Inject outlets EURO AIR Inject outlets do not require cleaning from a flow technical point of view, however aesthetics or hygiene conditions may necessitate the cleaning of the outlets.euro AIR Inject systems can be cleaned manually on the outside and on the inside. For this purpose a thin water/soap dilution and a brush or a sponge should be used (standard grade washing detergent can be used).after the cleaning the Inject Socks should be rinsed with clean water.if the Inject Sock is very dirty the inside of the sock should be turned out and swept or vacuumed. Use of Hydrocarbon based solvents can cause damage. Under no circumstances use solvents containing Chlorate, this will deteriorate the PVC coating, causing the material to turn brittle, eventually cracking can occur. DK Vaskeanvisning Vask af polyester og Trevira CS Vask 2-4 gange ved max. 40 C, tilsæt vaskepulver i dosering svarende til fabrikantens anvisning. Såfremt posekanalerne er meget snavsede bør disse skylles mellem hver vask. Efter endt vask efterskylles i rent koldt vand. Såfremt poserne ønskes desinficeret kan dette opnås ved at tilsætte min. 200 mg/l aktivt klor til sidste hold skyllevand (vær opmærksom på at farvede kanaler ved denne desinficering kan blive let blegede). Såfremt der desinficeres efterskylles igen med rent koldt vand. Kanaler med interne ringe kan centrifugeres, blot skal ringene demonteres før dette kan foretages. Kemisk rens af polyester og Trevira CS Kemisk rens af tekstil kanaler bør kun anvendes i tilfælde hvor disse har en lav- til middel tilsmudsningsgrad. Ved kemisk rens bør der anvendes perkloræthylen, og kanalerne bør udluftes. Vask eller kemisk rens af renrumsmaterialer Vask eller kemisk rens af renrums materialer anbefales ikke under normale omstændigheder, men er dog muligt som nævnt ovenfor for polyester og Trevira CS materiale. Hvis kanalen har en tendens til at blive grålig i farven bør forfiltret efterses, og eventuelt udskiftes med filter af højere filterklasse. Under rense- eller vaskeprocessen kan posematerialet blive forurenet med støvpartikler og lignede, hvorfor Euro Air A/S fralægger sig ansvaret for rensrumsklassen efter en eventuel vask. Rengøring af injekt materiale Kan ikke maskinvaskes. Euro Air injekt kanaler kræver ikke vask eller rens ud fra et luftteknisk synspunkt, idet dette materiale er ikke-permeabelt, det vil sige, materialet stopper ikke til selv om der støvpartikler tilstede i indblæsningsluften. Poserne kan rengøres manuelt på yder- og inderside med en tynd sæbeopløsning vha. svamp og børste. Efter rengøring vaskes poserne over med rent vand. Der må under ingen omstændigheder bruges klorholdige rengøringsprodukter, idet kloren kan nedbryde PVC-belægningen. Rengøring af glasfibervæv Kan ikke maskinvaskes. Kan rengøres med fnugfri klud påført tynd opløsning af sæbevand. Skylles efterfølgende med rent vand og dryp tørrer. Cleaning of M0 Outlets (Glass fibre weave) These outlets must only be cleaned by means of a damp cloth. A standard commercial grade detergent can be used in a watery solution for this purpose. Outlets must be allowed to drip dry.

64 1. Installing round outlets with Fasttrack onto ceiling mounted Wingrail 1. Montering af rund posekanal med Fasttrack, i loftsmonteret Wingrail skinne - Attach Wingrail to ceiling using screws for every mm depending on type of ceiling and size of outlet. Note: the wing on the rail has a groove for lining up when drilling the holes needed in the rail. - Sections of Wingrail is joined by sliding the Wingrail connector into the side groove of the rail, and then tightening the allen screws. When tightening the allen screws, the 2 sections of rail will self-align. - The Fasttrack cord fitted to the outlet is slid into the rail opening, and can now be pushed/pulled into the rail. If you have ordered our special Fasttrack feeder tool, this must be fitted into the side groove prior to sliding the outlet into the rail. Using the special feeder tool the outlet can be pull onto the rail very easily with a minimum use of force. - The outlet is fixed to the steel duct or fan using clamp. - If Luxe bottom was ordered you will also have received a small cleat (stamped Mini cleat) per outlet. This cleat is mounted directly onto the rail, at the end of the rail where the bottom of the outlet will be located. The cleat is fitted using the included special flat nuts and bolts. When the outlets are ordered with the Luxe type bottom the outlets have a pull cord attached at the bottom end. This cord is pulled tight and fixed into the cleat. If the outlets are to be disinfected, add min. 200 mg/l of active chlorine to the final rinse water (N.B. colored socks can loose some of their color when disinfected) Rinse outlets in clean cold water. If the fabric turns slightly grey during operation, the pre-filtration should be examined and possibly exchanged for a filter better suited. During the washing procedure, particles can be picked up by the fabric and later blown into the room. If the clean room socks are being washed there is no further guarantee for the function of the socks from EURO AIR, with regards to particle count. Cleaning of Inject outlets EURO AIR Inject outlets do not require cleaning from a flow technical point of view, however aesthetics or hygiene conditions may necessitate the cleaning of the outlets.euro AIR Inject systems can be cleaned manually on the outside and on the inside. For this purpose a thin water/soap dilution and a brush or a sponge should be used (standard grade washing detergent can be used).after the cleaning the Inject Socks should be rinsed with clean water.if the Inject Sock is very dirty the inside of the sock should be turned out and swept or vacuumed. Use of Hydrocarbon based solvents can cause damage. Under no circumstances use solvents containing Chlorate, this will deteriorate the PVC coating, causing the material to turn brittle, eventually cracking can occur. 72 1. Installing round outlets with Fasttrack on Flexrail 1. Montage af rund posekanal med Fasttrack på Flexrail Our Flexrail suspension system is very versatile. We normally use this rail together with one the three standard options mentioned below: Vort Flexrail skinnesystem er særdeles fleksibelt. Vi anvender normalt skinnen sammen med én af nedenstående tre standard løsninger: 1. Strap-up s (steel wire with loop one end, M6 Eye bolt other end). Strap-up s are intended for hanging the rail into the room, by screwing a hook to the ceiling (hooks not supplied by Euro Air). Our standard Flexrail connector is used in conjunction with the strap-up s, this connector has a hole tapped M6 on the upper side. 2. Threaded beam (M6 threaded beam with matching threaded beam connector and M6 ceiling bracket). This item is also intended for dropping rail into room, but gives a more rigid result than by the strapup s. Again the standard Flexrail connector is used, with the M6 tapped hole. 3. Flexrail ceiling bracket. This item acts as a rail connector, as well as an anchor point. This connector has a small wing for fixing directly onto ceiling. - For all of the above an anchor point must be established for every 2 meters. In these anchor points a strap-up/threaded beam/ceiling connector is fitted, depending on which type is better suited for the particular application. - Flexrail is fitted to connectors at anchor points - *The Fasttrack sewn into the outlet is fed into to Flexrail opening, after which the outlet can be pushed/pulled onto the rail. - The outlet is fixed to the steel duct/fan using a clamp. If Luxe type bottom has been ordered, 1 piece mini cleat will also follow per outlet. The cleat is mounted directly onto the rail at the end where the bottom will be located (cleat fitted using the included flat nuts and screws). When Luxe type bottom is ordered, the outlet itself is fitted with a pull cord, located near the bottom of the outlet. This cord is to be pulled tight after fitting the outlet to the rail, after which it can be locked into the cleat. Finish by shortening the cord as needed. * If you have ordered our special Fasttrack feeder for Flexrail, this is inserted into the side groove of the Flexrail, before feeding the Fasttrack into the rail. The outlet can now be pulled onto the rail with an absolute minimum of effort. 1. Strap-up (stålwire med løkke i den ene ende, M6 øjebolt i den anden ende). I hvert understøtningspunkt monteres Strap-up/Gevindstang/ Flexrail loftsbeslag alt efter hvilken type der passer bedst til opgaven. - Skinnen fastgøres i understøtningen og samles med skinnesamlere. - Den i posen isyede Fasttrack indføres i skinnen, hvorefter posen trækkes på skinnen*. - Posekanalen fastgøres på stålkanal/ventilator ved hjælp af spændebånd. Såfremt der er bestilt Luxe bund medfølger ligeledes et stk. Mini cleat (skødeklemme) per posekanal. Denne monteres direkte på skinnen, i den ende hvor posekanalens bund sidder. Når der bestilles Luxe bund er posen udstyret med en kraftig isyet snor ved bunden. Denne snor bruges til at strække posen helt ud, hvorefter den kiles fast i skødeklemmen.
