6 BIOGRAPHY Gordon R. Sullivan, General (Retired) U.S. Army General Sullivan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Association of the United States Army, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Since assuming his position in 1998, General Sullivan has overseen the transformation of the Association into a dynamic member-based organization that represents Soldiers, families, and the defense industry. His responsibilities encompass both daily business operating and strategy planning for the largest Army-oriented non-profit association. The Association promotes and advocates programs for Soldiers and their families, creates opportunities for Army-Industry and professional dialog; advocates public awareness of Army and national security issues through its educational mission and maintains an outreach program to national leadership on critical issues pertinent to Army readiness. Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Quincy, he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Norwich University and was commissioned a second lieutenant of Armor in General Sullivan retired from the Army on 31 July 1995 after more than 36 years of active service. He culminated his service in uniform as the 32 nd Chief of Staff the senior general officer in the Army and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. General Sullivan currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Norwich University and the Marshall Legacy Institute, as well as a member of the MITRE Army Advisory Board, the MIT Lincoln Labs Advisory Board, and a Life Trustee of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. In addition to his many awards on active duty, he is also the recipient of the West Point Association of Graduates Sylvanus Thayer Award and a member of the Sergeants Major Academy s Hall of Honor. General Sullivan currently resides in Alexandria, VA. He has three children and three grandchildren. He is an avid reader, amateur historian, and active sailor and sport fishing enthusiast.

7 GENERAL DANIEL B. ALLYN 35th Vice Chief of Staff of the Army UNITED STATES ARMY General Daniel B. Allyn assumed duties as the 35th Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, August 15, General Allyn is a native of Berwick, Maine, and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He previously served as the Commander of the United States Army Forces Command, Fort Bragg, NC. He also served as the Commanding General, XVIII Airborne Corps and Commanding General, 1st Cavalry Division, America s First Team, including duty as Commanding General, Combined Joint Task Force-1 and Regional Command East in Afghanistan. General Allyn has also served as the Chief of Staff, and later, Deputy Commanding General of XVIII Airborne Corps, including duty as Chief of Staff, Multi-National Corps Iraq. His joint assignments include the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization and the Joint Operations Directorate, J-3. Prior to his Joint assignments, he served as Commander, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized), culminating with service during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to serving in the Marne Division, General Allyn served two tours of duty with the 82nd Airborne Division, two years with the 2nd Infantry Division, and three tours of duty with the 75th Ranger Regiment.

8 General Allyn's previous duties include command at the platoon through division level and staff assignments at the battalion through Joint Staff level. He served an overseas assignment in Korea and operational deployments for Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada, two peacekeeping deployments to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, Operation Just Cause in Panama, Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia, and Operations Desert Spring and Enduring Freedom in Kuwait, two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and most recently was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XII. He is a graduate of the Naval War College at Newport, Rhode Island, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Strategic and National Security Studies. General Allyn s awards and decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star, three Defense Superior Service Medals, three Legions of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, two Defense Meritorious Service Medals, six Meritorious Service Medals, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, four Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, the Combat Infantryman Badge (with Star), the Expert Infantryman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge (with Bronze Star), the Ranger Tab, the Pathfinder Badge, the Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge.

9 Major General Michael D. Lundy Commanding General, USAACE and Fort Rucker Major General Mike Lundy was commissioned as an Aviation Second Lieutenant in 1987 from McNeese State University. After completing Basic Rotary Wing Training and the OH-58D transition, he was assigned to TF 23, 3 ID in Giebelstadt, Germany as a Company Executive Officer and Platoon Leader. In 1990, his platoon was attached to 4/2 ACR and deployed to Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Following Desert Storm, he was reassigned to CBTF, 3 ID in support of Operation Provide Comfort in Northern Iraq. In 1991, MG Lundy attended the Armor Officer Advanced Course and Cavalry Leaders Course at Fort Knox. He was then assigned to 4-17 Cavalry at Fort Bragg, where he served as an Assistant S3, Squadron S4 and commanded A/4-17 Cavalry and N/4/2 ACR. During his troop command, he deployed to Haiti for Operation Support Democracy. In 1995, MG Lundy was reassigned to the Eagle Team, Operations Group, National Training Center at Fort Irwin. Following the Command and General Staff College in 1998, Lundy was assigned to 10th Mountain Division as the XO TF 1-10 ATKHB and deployed to Bosnia in support of SFOR6. He then served as the 10th Aviation Brigade S3 and Brigade XO. In November 2001, he deployed to Afghanistan as the Deputy CJ3 and Chief of Operations for CJTF Mountain in support of Operation Enduring Freedom I. In June 2003, MG Lundy assumed command of 1st Battalion (Attack), 25th Aviation Regiment and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Following battalion command in 2005, Lundy served as the Operations Group Senior Aviation Observer Controller at the Joint Readiness Training Center, and then attended the Army War College in Following the AWC, Lundy assumed command of the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade in January 2008 and deployed the brigade to Northern Iraq. In October 2010, MG Lundy was reassigned as the 25th Infantry Division Deputy Commander (Rear), and then was reassigned as the Deputy Commanding General 1 AD at Fort Bliss in July From July 2012 to March 2014, MG Lundy served as the Deputy Commanding General Combined Arms Center Training. MG Lundy is currently serving as the Commanding General, United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Fort Rucker, Alabama. MG Lundy's awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit (2 OLC), Bronze Star Medal (2 OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), Air Medal (2 Valor Devices and the Numeral 4), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4 OLC), Humanitarian Service Medal, Joint

11 Brigadier General (Retired) E.J. Sinclair: BG Sinclair retired from the Army in February 2007 culminating a 31-year career as an Army Aviator. His final assignment was serving as the Aviation Branch Chief and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Aviation Warfighting Center, Fort Rucker, Alabama from He was also the Assistant Division Commander of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) during Operation Enduring Freedom and the initial months of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon retirement, BG Sinclair joined the leadership team of Science and Engineering Services, LLC and since January 2010 has served as its Chief Executive Officer. SES is an industry leader in rotary and fixed modification, integration, service life extension, and training. BG Sinclair also serves as the President of the Army Aviation Association of America with a mission to support U.S. Army Aviation Soldiers and their Families. BG Sinclair graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in He has a Master s Degree in Operational Planning from the School of Advance Military Studies and a second Master s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the National Defense University. 13 Colonel Paul A. Cravey, was commissioned in June 1991 after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from North Georgia College where he was an Army ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate. After completing Aviation Officer Basic Course, the Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course, and Ranger School, he was assigned to 5 th Battalion (Attack), 501 st Aviation Regiment at Fort Hood, TX with follow on deployment to the Republic of Korea, where he served as HHC XO, Support Platoon Leader, and Aero-scout Platoon Leader. He was then assigned to the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk Louisiana where he served as an Attack/Cavalry and Aviation Live Fire Observer/Controller. After completion of the Aviation Officer Advanced Course he was assigned to the 1 st Squadron, 17 th U.S. Cavalry Regiment in the 82 nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, where he served as Squadron Assistant S3 and Air Cavalry Troop Commander. After Troop command, COL Cravey was assigned to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, CA where he served as an Attack/Cavalry and Operations Observer Controller. COL Cravey was subsequently assigned to the 25 th Infantry Division with assignments as 1-25 AVN(ATK) Battalion S3, 3-25 IBCT Brigade Aviation Officer and 25 th Combat Aviation Brigade S3 with two combat deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following deployment he was assigned as the 5 th Battlefield Coordination Detachment Operations Officer at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii. COL Cravey was subsequently selected to command a Security Force Advisor Team in Kandahar Afghanistan in support of the Afghan Border Police in Regional Command South. From , he commanded 1 st Squadron, 6 th Cavalry Regiment at Fort Riley, KS. After command, COL Cravey served as the G3 for the Brigade Modernization Command at Fort Bliss, TX. COL Cravey is a graduate of the Aviation Officers Basic Course, Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course, US Army Ranger Course, US Army Jumpmaster Course, Aviation Officers Advance Course, the Army Command and General Staff College, and the U.S. Army War College. His awards and decorations include include the Bronze Star with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Combat Action Badge, the Master Aviator Badge, the Master Parachutist Badge, the Canadian Parachutist Badge, and the Ranger Tab. Colonel Cravey is married to the former Ms. Lesley Stonecypher of Powder Springs, Georgia. They have two phenomenal Labrador retrievers, Hank the Tank and Lucky Johnny Cash.

14 COLONEL Courtney P. Cote COL Cote is the Project Manager, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Program Executive Office Aviation, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. COL Cote has previously served in a number of acquisition leadership assignments within the Army. COL Cote was born at Fort Carson, Colorado and grew up at Fort Rucker, Alabama. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1987 and was later commissioned into the U.S. Army and Aviation Branch in He is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Auburn University as a Distinguished Military Graduate. In 2003 he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri and in 2013 earned a Masters of Strategic Studies from the Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base. COL Cote has served in a number of Aviation assignments prior to transitioning to the Acquisition Corps. He has earned the Senior Army Aviator Badge, the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge and the Army Staff Identification Badge. COL Cote is married to the former Shelly C. Sharp from Louisville, Kentucky. They have one daughter, Alexis Lovelady, a graduate student at the University of Florida.

15 Biography The Boeing Company 1200 Wilson Boulevard Arlington, VA James J. Cutting Manager, Army Aviation Systems Government Operations The Boeing Company Jim Cutting is responsible for managing, coordinating and integrating all Washington activities associated with Army Aviation, C4ISR and unmanned systems. He also assists senior Boeing leadership with the identification and development of new business strategies and capability areas. Cutting joined the company in 2012, following a distinguished career with the U.S. Army. He brings to Boeing extensive experience with Army Aviation and proven capabilities in leadership, strategic planning, operations and logistics. In his final assignment with the Army, he served as the Chief of Unmanned Aircraft Systems in the Army G-3/5/7 Aviation Directorate. Previously, he served as the Commander, Task Force ODIN (Observe, Detect, Identify and Neutralize) in Iraq - the Army's highly specialized unit that teamed intelligence capabilities with manned and unmanned aircraft to dismantle enemy networks and reduce the IED threat to soldiers on the ground. His diverse background includes peacekeeping in Kosovo, two combat tours in Iraq, valuable experience as an Observer/Controller at the National Training Center and command of an Aviation Unit Maintenance Company in the famed 82d Airborne Division. Additionally, he served on high-level staffs as a Logistics Planner at NATO and in the Pentagon as the Army's Unmanned Aircraft Systems' expert. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Masters Degree in Computer Resources & Information Management from Webster University. He is married to the former Petra Johansson of Oxelösund, Sweden. They live in Fairfax Station, Virginia with their two sons. Aug 2012

16 BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION MAJOR GENERAL WALTER L. DAVIS UNITED STATES ARMY (RETIRED) Major General (Retired) Davis joined Cypress International in Alexandria, Virginia on 1 January 2013, after serving more than 33 years in the US Army. He is serving as Vice President for Army Aviation Programs. As such, he is responsible for managing a broad range of consulting agreements, primarily with the defense industry. HIs last active duty assignment was as the Deputy Commanding General of United States Army North (Fifth Army), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Prior to serving at Army North, he served as the Deputy Director/ Chief of Staff at the Army Capabilities Integration Center, TRADOC. His succession of duties also include: Command of the 20th Support Group (CBRNE), U.S. Forces Command; Director of the Joint Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center of Excellence, Joint Staff; G3, US Army Central (Third Army); and, Director of Army Aviation, G3/5/7, HQDA. He has held a myriad of other Aviation command and staff positions at all levels from Company to Corps. He is a distinguished military graduate from the College of William and Mary, where he was commissioned a regular Army officer in He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Master s Degree in National Resource Strategy.

17 BRIGADIER GENERAL ERIK C. PETERSON Commanding General Brigadier General Erik C. Peterson assumed command of the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command on June 10, Prior to this command, he served as the 2 nd Infantry Division Deputy Commanding General for Support in Camp Humphreys, Korea. Brigadier General Peterson received his Army commission in 1986 as a Distinguished Military Graduate of the University of Idaho Reserve Officer Training Corps program. He was assigned to the Aviation Branch and completed flight school in His first assignment was with the 271 st Combat Aviation Company, Camp Humphreys, Korea, as Section Leader and Platoon Leader. He then served his first of four tours with the 160 th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne); Bravo Company Platoon Leader, Bravo Company Commander, and Headquarters Company Commander, 3rd Battalion, Hunter Army Airfield, GA; Adjutant and Battalion S-3, 2nd Battalion, Fort Campbell, KY; Battalion Executive Officer and Bravo Company Commander, 3rd Battalion; and Battalion Commander, 2nd Battalion. Other assignments include Senior Special Operations Aviation Observer Controller, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, LA; Director, Flight Concepts Division, Fort Eustis, Va; Brigade Commander, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade and Chief of Staff, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, NY; and Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Cadet Command, Fort Knox, KY. Brigadier General Peterson holds a Bachelor of Science Degrees in Geography and Cartography and Master s Degrees in Business Administration and National Security Strategy. Other professional military education includes the Aviation Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms Service Staff School, Command and General Staff College, and the National War College. 18 BIO PROFILE Avetis Ioannisyan 6 Circle Drive Hudson, NH Mr. Ioannisyan currently serves as the Director of Strategic Technology for Elbit Systems of America and in this role he oversees emerging technology maturation and capability development. Prior to this role Mr. Ioannisyan held program management and engineering positions at Harris in Clifton, NJ and BAE Systems in Nashua, NH. Mr. Ioannisyan is a recent graduate of Elbit s year-long Innovation and Leadership Program as well as a graduate of BAE Systems three-year long Leadership Development Program. Mr. Ioannisyan holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate and a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Massachusetts; he completed his undergraduate work at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a dual major in Electrical and Computer System Engineering with magna cum laude and Mr. Ioannisyan was the recipient of the Rensselaer Medal for outstanding achievements in math and science. He holds patents in ultra-low power communication systems and currently resides in Hudson, New Hampshire.

19 LTG (Ret.) John M. (Mark) Curran Vice President Army Programs & Huntsville Operations L-3 COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION Since joining L-3 in November 2007 as Vice President for Huntsville Operations, Mark has established L-3 as a major Defense Industry partner in the greater Huntsville area. As the senior corporate representative to our customers and partners in the region, he engages with local, state, and federal Government representatives, helps coordinate and synchronize L-3 division business pursuits, and seeks opportunities for all business units across L-3. Additionally, Mark also serves as Vice President for Army Programs, leveraging his experience in Army Aviation and Army Combat developments in order to assist L-3 in corporate strategy and research and development. A native of South Florida, Mark is a 1974 Distinguished Military graduate of Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in social science. He holds a Master s degree in Military Arts and Science from the Army School of Advanced Military Studies and is a graduate of the Army s Command and General Staff College and National War College. Mark retired from the U.S. Army in September 2007 after serving for over thirty-three years as an Aviation Officer in a variety of command and staff positions throughout the Army in the United States and overseas. His command assignments included Commander 3 rd Battalion, 101 st Aviation Brigade, 101 st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky, during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia and Iraq; Deputy Brigade Commander 101 st Aviation Brigade, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Commander 2 nd Aviation Brigade, 2 nd Infantry Division, South Korea; Assistant Division Commander, 1 st Infantry Division in Germany and Bosnia Herzegovina; Deputy Commanding General, Combined Arms Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Commanding General, United States Aviation Warfighting Center, Fort Rucker, Alabama; and Deputy Commanding General Futures and Director of the Army Capabilities and Integration Center, Fort Monroe, Virginia. In his last position, before retiring as the Deputy Command General at TRADOC, he was responsible for the design, development, and integration into a joint warfighting environment, from concept to capability, all aspects of the future force and current requirements for ongoing operations. A Master Army Aviator and Instructor Pilot who has flown all of the Army s current inventory of aircraft, Mark s awards and decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, two Air Medals, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, NATO Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medals from the governments of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, and the Air Assault Badge. Married for 40 years to Cynthia Templon Curran of Petersburg, Virginia, Mark and Cindy have three daughters and five grandchildren. O Neil graduated from Norwich University and was commissioned as an Infantry officer on 28 May BG O Neil began his career as a Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer and Scout Platoon Leader with the 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Beginning in February 1991, BG O Neil served as a Battalion Logistics Officer and later Rifle Company Commander with the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Francis has served in a series of command and staff positions. These positions included chief of staff and deputy to the Commander of United Nations and NATO Forces in Kosovo and the senior U.S. Military Officer in the Republic of Kosovo from 2007 to In that position Bill worked with over 25,000 Soldiers from 35 countries that were responsible for executing a United Nations mandate to maintain a safe and secure environment. Bill also served as Deputy Commanding General and Assistant Commandant of the Army Aviation Center, directly responsible for all Army aviation training, leadership development, and change implementation in an organization comprised of more than 4,000 U.S. and international students, 550 aircraft, and 400 instructors. Bill has flown a variety of rotary-wing aircraft earning the Army Master Aviator Wings. He received his undergraduate degree in general engineering from West Point and completed graduate-level education in general administration and executive management at Central Michigan University and the U.S. Army War College respectively. 25 COL J. Ray Davis is the Army National Guard Aviation and Safety (ARNG-AV) Division Chief. His responsibilities are to ensure that ARNG Aviation is manned, trained, equipped, and resourced to respond to operational requirements in support of Overseas Contingency Operations and Homeland Defense. He serves as the principle advisor to the Director of the ARNG and the State Aviation Officers for aviation and safety matters. Previous assignments include, J3, Director of Military Support for the South Carolina National Guard, and Deputy Commander for the 59 th Aviation Troop Command. COL Davis spent more than 17 years as part of the st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion (ARB) where he served in various positions of increasing responsibility beginning as a Platoon Leader, then Company Commander, S3, Executive Officer, and Battalion Commander. He commanded the st ARB for 44 months and led his unit through the AH64D Unit Fielding and Training Program. He has deployed in support of Operations Southern Watch (Kuwait), Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn. His combat experience includes serving as st ARB S3 ( ) and Battalion Commander (2011). Upon completion of Operation New Dawn, his unit was charged to initiate the Army s AH-64D overwater operations and deck landing qualification program in Kuwait. COL Davis is a Master Army Aviator with more than 2400 flight hours with 480 flown in combat.
