4 MISSION To provide career transition support to military service members and their families who have been severely injured while deployed in combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) or Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) by identifying potential career opportunities. 4
5 Our History Our Team Started by one employee in 2005 in the Mission Systems Sector but later became an enterprise-wide initiative Created to provide career transition assistance for severely injured former military personnel Launched Network of Champions (NoC) in 2009 after other companies expressed the desire to start similar programs Recognized by the Departments of Defense, Labor and Veterans Affairs as a leading program for wounded warrior recruitment and assistance Our Approach Program Overview Dedicated team comprised of: Program Manager provides strategic direction and focuses on maximizing program efficiency and ROI Placement Manager enrolls candidates and oversees the candidate management process Outreach Ambassador creates awareness about the program and actively recruits NoC member companies Health Services Manager oversees the accommodations process across the enterprise Sector Leads promote hiring and support recruitment activities in their sectors Our Network Candidates are recruited from various sources, including career fairs, the NGC website and a variety of referrals Once enrolled, candidates are provided a centralized contact to actively market their skills internally and throughout the Network of Champions The OI team maintains the connection with candidates post hire to ensure a smooth transition and provide on-going coaching and career guidance OI has developed strong relationships with the VA, DOD, DOL, various wounded warrior programs and other organizations who support wounded warriors The NoC, led by NG, is comprised of nearly 100 employers and resources committed to provide similar assistance to OI candidates Meet bi-monthly to share best practices relevant to wounded warrior transition With candidate s permission, share resume with NoC employers to provide a wider base of opportunity for candidate 5
6 Eligibility Criteria for Support Through Operation IMPACT Career transition services provided through Operation IMPACT are offered to those wounded warriors who are classified as severely injured (as described below). To be eligible, the candidate must be transitioning from military service and meet all of the following criteria establishing them as severely injured : 1. Suffer from injuries or illnesses incurred while deployed in overseas contingency operations supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and/or Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) since September 11, And either a. Receive a physical disability rating of 30% or greater from the DOD or VA in one or more specific categories that substantially affect one or more major life functions: Blindness/loss of vision Post Traumatic Stress Deafness/hearing loss Severe burns Fatal/incurable disease Spinal cord injury/paralysis Loss of limb Traumatic Brain Injury Permanent disfigurement Any other condition requiring extensive hospitalizations or multiple surgeries.or b. Receive a combined physical disability rating equal to or greater than 50% for any other combat or combat related condition.

9 Network of Champions The OI Network of Champions (NOC) was established in May 2009 as a forum to: Build community partnerships Provide wider network for employment opportunities for wounded warriors Share information on various outreach activities Leverage best practices With the candidate s permission, Northrop Grumman will share his/her resume with our partnering NOC companies Candidate list distributed to NOC members on a regular basis All candidates referred meet the eligibility criteria for OI support Only resume and information regarding their skills and abilities are shared; no information on their disability is provided 9
10 Network of Champions Expectations There s no membership fee or cost to join the OI NOC! Members are expected to: Treat the candidate listing we provide as a priority placement list and seriously consider the candidates for opportunities in your company Proactively contact candidates for positions in your organization Think outside the box for opportunities for placement Let us know if you make a placement from one of our referrals; we d like to share in the celebration! Attend regularly scheduled meetings (typically quarterly with an annual symposium held in March) and support various wounded warrior recruiting/outreach events as appropriate Affirm support to these expectations by signing the Network of Champions Commitment Form will be sent to company point of contact following the program overview and upon notifying the Operation IMPACT program of your desire to participate 10
