7 LTG EDWARD C. CARDON is the Commanding General, Cyber Command. He previously served as the Commanding General, 2nd Infantry Division; Deputy Commanding General for Support, United States Forces Iraq; Deputy Commandant, United States Army Command and General Staff College, and the Deputy Commanding General, Leader Development and Education, Combined Arms Center, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas; Deputy Commanding General (Support), 3rd Infantry Division; and Commander, Engineer Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division in Iraq, and later served as the first Commander of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. His military education includes the Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, and the Armed Forces Staff College. He has a Bachelor s degree from the United States Military Academy, and Master s degrees from the National War College and the United States Naval Command and Staff College. MG GEORGE J. FRANZ III is currently the Commander of the Cyber National Mission Force, United States Cyber Command. Previous assignments include Director, Military Intelligence Doctrine Directorate, Intelligence Center; Assistant Chief of Staff, G-2, Europe & Seventh Army; Commander, 704th Military Intelligence Brigade; and Director, Current Operations, J-33, United States Cyber Command. He has deployed in support of OPERATION DESERT STORM, OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. He holds a Bachelor s degree from the University of Maine at Orono, and Masters degrees from the School of Advanced Military Studies, the Command and General Staff College, and the Naval War College. BG MICHAEL D. TURELLO is currently the Deputy Commanding General of the Special Forces Command (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He started his career as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and then joined the Army National Guard where he served as the Commander, 19 th SFG(A) as a Title 32 AGR, Utah Army National Guard. He deployed as Commander, Special Operations Command and Control Element-Horn of Africa, Djibouti and was later dual-hatted as Commander, AFRICOM Counter-LRA Control Element, Uganda for Operation OBSERVANT COMPASS. He returned to the Title 10 AGR program and to USASOC as the Senior Guard Advisor. He earned a Bachelor s degree from Millsaps College, a J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law, and a Master s degree from the National War College. MR. NATHANIEL FICK serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Endgame, Inc. He is also an Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners as part of the Cyber Security team. He has been involved with investments in the security sector and previously focused on the defense and intelligence technologies sector. Before joining Endgame, he was the Chief Executive Officer at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). He previously served as a Marine Corps infantry officer, serving combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He serves on the boards of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and the Rockefeller Center for Public Policy at Dartmouth. He also serves as a Trustee of Dartmouth and a Director of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. He is the author of One Bullet Away, which was recognized as one of the Best Books of the Year by The Washington Post and one of the Best Military Books of the Decade by The Military Times. He holds a Bachelor s degree from Dartmouth College and Master s degrees from Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School. DR. RANDY GARRETT has served as Program Manager, Information Innovation Office, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency since His research and development interests relate to the use of information technologies for the counter-insurgency mission. Earlier in his career he worked for several governmental and private sector activities. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Engineering and Master of Science in Computer Science degrees from Florida Atlantic University. 6
