3 Healthcare Responsibilites and Duties in USA Assistant Manager in Manhattan Medical Center(New York) and Health Care Manager in Indiana(USA). Family Medical Center (Indianapolis,Indiana) was specialized in Chronic Disease Management providing health care educational services for Medicaid population mainly CHF, Diabetes and Asthma in different Indiana counties. My role included but was not limited to the following: Leadership Manage and coordinate activities of the assigned work function and/or department. Give work directions, resolve problems, prepare schedules and set performance expectations and deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Coordinate activities of assigned work function and/or department with related activities of other work functions and/or departments to ensure efficiency and economy. Evaluates and implements changes to medical service functions and performance in relation to company mission, philosophy objectives and policies. Report Preparation Review and analyze reports, records and directives, and confer with staff to obtain data required for planning work function activities, such as new projects, status of work in progress, and problems encountered. Also to verify data to be submitted in accordance with state Medicaid program requirements and to ensure compliance with Company, Federal, State, Health Plan Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS), National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) and/or Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) standards. Prepare reports and records on work function activities for management. Methods and Procedures Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing the assigned work function's objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices and to ensure compliance with Company, Federal, State, and National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) and/or Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) standards. Ensuring HIPPA compliance during reporting and health care delivery settings. Customer Service Collaborate with appropriate departments to document, investigate and resolve formal/informal complaints and appeals in accordance with Company and State policies, procedures and requirements
4 Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities 1 Setting strategic plan and implementation policy for the Health Services Department, providing appropriate environment for providing quality service products. 2 Providing professional medical direction services to affiliated healthcare departments, implementing approved TQM and utilization management programs. 3 Working collaboratively with medical services, provider relations and the CEO to prepare, and implement recommendations to provider member for utilization improvement actions. 4 Analyzing health professionals performance and evaluating the provision of staff training on the operating techniques, collaborating with the CEO in implementing physician education plans. 5 Assuring staff's compliance with federal and NCQA regulations for managed care programs. 6 Representing the department at the TQM and Utilization Review Committees. Professional clinical experience 1. Provide coverage for anesthesia & intensive care departments on a rotation basis during day, night, weekends and holidays. 2. Institute basic or advanced life support, providing satisfactory pain relief for patients (Parenteral & by PCA technique) 3. Being an ICU/CCU Coordinator, A. Organize & supervise the daily running of the unit including the junior doctors, nursing staff and paramedics as well as assessing new referrals, maintenance and requisition of equipment s & supplies as required. B. Act appropriately as a member &/ or a leader of a therapeutic team, continuing my education & contribute to the education of nursing, medical and paramedical staff.
