1 Trouble shooting in Broadband (Dataone) Error-678 This is most common problem. It is due to poor connectivity or no connectivity. Switch off / Switch on Modem (Power Switch is at the back of modem) and wait for 2 minutes. Then retry. If problem is not solved then Reset Modem [Back pin (in the hole) is to be pressed in switch ON condition] [Note : Link PC in black type Modem or WAN / LAN in white type Modem will go Off and then ON and system may be stable. Then retry. If problem is still not solved then, a) Check adsl link lamp in Modem. If it is blinking, then it is a line problem. b)check Modem to splitter connectivity. i) Jack out & Jack in the cable of / to the modem and to the splitter ii)jack out & Jack in the telephone connection of the splitter. If lamp is still blinking - then it is due to poor line condition / fault. The case is to be referred to Area external office or Broadband team for attending the fault. Error-691 User id and Password problem. Either Userid or password is mismatched. The case is to be referred to SDE (Internal) for further follow up of Port binding check.

2 Error-769 LAN not enabled. The LAN Card has to be enabled by following the steps given below. i)go to Desktop. ii)click "My Network Place". iii)select Properties. iv)click "Enable the local network". Error- 797 Modem or LAN driver problem Reset the Modem (in on condition ) by pressing button available in the backside hole of the modem and wait for 2 mintues and then log on. If the problem is not solved then call your vendor to check computer LAN Card driver. Error Computer LAN Card problem. LAN Card has to be changed. Error 633 Broadband connection is already connected Disconnect the broadband & then connect again.

3 OSP Internet is working, Data One is not working Cable Internet is working. Tata / Reliance is working but Data One is not working. Data One is working through LAN Card. Problem can be seen by observing PC lamp (in black modem) LAN lamp ( in white modem) which might not be glowing or may be blinking. LAN Card has to be changed. Site not opening from Data One From VSNL sites are opening, Dial-Up sites are opening but from Data One sites are not opening. Probable reasons i)internet explorer is not supporting the Pope (may be pirated OS). ii)virus corrupting Internet explorer. The customer is requested to set it right. BSNL BB DNS server may be having problem. DNS is not responding. Ping or and check up whether DNS is responding.

4 Troubleshooting in Dataone Broadband I do not get ADSL link on my Dataone Modem. Check if there is any loose connectivity from the splitter to the modem. If so tightly fix in the cable, wait for about a minute and see if the link is up. If not contact your local exchange for checking line or launch a complaint :/detail on 198. How do i check my usage? Go to website login with your Username and Password, click on service records and select the month for which you want to view your usage. To view this page correctly you should have internet explorer version 6.Also enable coockies by going to Internet explorer tools Internet options Privacy Advanced Select Override Automatic Cookie Handling. I cannot connect / browse. Check if all the LEDs are as mentioned below. Power - Glowing steady ADSL Link - glowing and steady (Steady Amber color in case of type I, Type III and Type IV modems and steady green in case of Type II.) If your modem is connected to PC via LAN / USB check if the respective indicator is glowing and steady. How do i change my password? (Click here for Detail Configuration) I am getting very slow speed. Get your line checked from your local exchange if still problem persists and line is perfect then it may be your PC problem. You will have to get your PC checked for viruses My LAN / USB indicator on the modem does not glow. Check if there is any loose connection. Check if your network device/ USB device is in disable state. Reinstall your network card / USB driver. Contact your system Administrator.

6 Broadband Utilities To see usage details Log in to Broadband, Go to Click on Service Record. Details of the current month usage and previous month will be shown. To change password Log in to Broadband, Go to Click on 'change password', give 'Old password', 'New password' and confirm. Password will be changed.
