The student will learn advanced digital video terminology, and editing techniques 2. Students will utilize industry standard hardware and software to produce complete project elements. 3. Students will create HD, HDV and mobile device projects 4. Students will apply, organize and customize advanced video effects using video editing software 5. Students will integrate and edit digital audio into their projects. 6. Students will integrate special effects into video utilizing industry standard motion graphics software. 7. Students will learn digital video techniques and software for the conversion of video files 8. Students will utilize a combination of industry standard software programs for video, sound, and image manipulation to create high quality videos that contain a variety of advanced effects. Graded assignments and policies: Graded Assignments PROJECTS Students will be expected to complete a variety of hands-on projects, assignments and exercises utilizing the tools and software

3 presented throughout the class. A comprehensive project will be required demonstrating proficiency with the combination of tools, techniques and software utilized during the course. 5 Advanced editing techniques, subclips, multiple sequences, creating special clips, editing a multi-camera sequence, working in other applications and Adobe Dynamic Link Applying, organizing and customizing advanced effects, motion, color correction, special color and luminance adjustments, vectorscope and waveform monitors. Integrating After Effects with Premiere, working with Premiere projects in After Effects, using Dynamic Link and non-destructive integration. Midterm Project planning and development; Compositing video, transparency masks, alpha channels, track mattes and keys (Color, Chroma, RGB Difference, Blue Screen, Non Red and Luma), and Advanced transitions. Advanced audio editing and mixing and extracting audio from source clips. Transcribing audio to text, searching for keywords and modifying metadata Integrating Photoshop with Premiere and importing Photoshop files as sequences.
