2 THE RIGHT ADVICE AND SERVICE Understanding electrical problems and products can be very confusing and complex. At Electrical Advice Management (EAM) we endeavour to take all your electrical concerns and simplify them, removing your headaches and disappointments. 3 To provide accurate, independent advice to individuals and corporations in an easy to understand format, thereby allowing them the ability to make their own informed choices regarding their own electrical requirements. To allow access to a unique advisory service that is focused on delivering a personalised approach to resolving any electrical issues or conditions that will ultimately benefit the client in a positive fashion. To independently and impartially provide honest advice and guidance in securing a favourable outcome for all concerned. In doing so, the highest degree of confidentiality would be paramount and bound by all parties involved in any process. 3
4 This is a unique service we are providing to government departments, commercial customers and residential homeowners. The range of our services will vary for each individual customer and directly depend on their needs and obligations. They would include but not limited to: Electrical Contractors Company and Business Owners Owner Builders Residential and Domestic Homeowners Some of the services offered include: Tender preparations for a quantity schedule: This would involve obtaining a quantity of material list in accordance with the specifications. Every effort would be made to source the lowest priced material without compromising the specifications or quality. This would benefit contractors by freeing up valuable time to concentrate on running the business. A labour schedule would not be included unless it was instructed as part of the contractor s request. A business inspection and review work practices: Often the owner of a contracting firm can lose sight of the operation practices of its employees or is at a loss how to motivate and improve their productivity. We can provide an independent and external review of current work practices and procedures that will ultimately make your company more efficient and competitive. An evaluation and assessment of administration: Utilising our administration and office support staff, a complete review of your administration functioning capabilities would be on offer to increase your cash flow and free tedious office tasks to concentrate on commitments such as Superannuation, SWMS and JSA compliance, BAS Reporting, etc.. Poor administration procedures will cost any company money. Our office support staff has qualifications in Business Management and Accounting and will determine the best course of action for individual companies based on their operating and financial commitments. Create a network of support: Often contractors are called for advice that can be time consuming and result in no flow on work. The opposite can be happening for EAM where the flow on of work is substantial. In this situation the contractor could refer the client to us for advice and likewise, EAM could refer their clients after the consultation to the contractor to tender and execute the work. Available for resource applications and sources: On occasions contractors are faced with a shortage of labour, but only short term to complete major projects or cover staff 4
5 leave. We can source appropriate staff to cover these shortfalls that would benefit the contractor in achieving the desired results. There are other occasions where finding a suitable cost effective item is required and the contractor is not entirely sure where to source it, or even if it is suitable for the requested project. Research and sourcing can be conducted by EAM to answer any queries or concerns in this matter. Prepare and Submit Government Tenders: Our services extend to offer assistance in preparing and submitting Government Tenders for Contractors interested in pursuing this direction for their business. Our administration staff has completed training in this field and continue to attend courses to keep up to date of any changes and amendments to their selection criteria. Support and Mentoring: We are determined to providing excellent service at all times. Because of this commitment we would be available to provide support and advice to contractors and their employees whenever they would require it. We believe in adopting a team spirit approach and encourage personal growth. 5
6 Provide electrical inspections on offices and premises: it is the business owner s responsibility to provide a safe working environment for their employees. EAM is available to provide a thorough inspection of all electrical facets within the workplace and provide a concise written report for insurance purposes or as part of the owner s compliance with current legislation. Planning and Advice: Companies are continually changing and expanding their office structure which often requires new office fit outs and furniture. We can offer advice and suggestions on lighting, power arrangements, data and phone requirements, exit/emergency lighting fulfilment. It is important that you get the right advice to guarantee that any personnel expansion will not exceed your power and communications capacity. Repairs and Maintenance: Our dedicated staff are available to assess any breakdowns or routine maintenance. We understand that any down time could affect your business and revenue, as well as your reputation. We will endeavour to attend and rectify your concerns as a matter of priority to ensure times are kept to a minimum. Design and Planning: Offer expert advice on the design, planning and concept of the owner builder s vision in a practical format so all rules and regulations are adhered to without compromising the acceptable completion of their dream home. Provide project management and supervision to ensure the correct methods of installation are enforced and they are implemented to coincide with the construction program in the correct sequence to avoid delays. 6
7 Maintenance and Installation Response Times: Develop a system where homeowners can contact us for any maintenance, breakdowns or installation concerns, where we can organise an electrical contractor to respond within 24 hours. It is envisaged to make this a personalised service where the individual is treated with respect and compassion, and not left waiting to have their request addressed and rectified. Pre- Purchase Inspection: Introduce an electrical inspection service where a premise is being considered for purchase it can be inspected for safety, compliance, and any necessary repairs documented in a full report for the pending buyer. It would come with a detailed report, photographs and any recommendations that needed to be raised. Advice and Consultation: Be available to offer friendly, easily understood advice to ease the residents concerns or provide information relevant to their needs. Instigate power consumption reviews and offer products appropriate to addressing these issues. 7
