2 Rome - San Francisco, October 23 rd 2015 The Management of the National Museum of Pasta Foods, the only one of its kind in the world, has organized in a competition addressed to the students of all types of Italian schools and to the students of the schools located in the area of San Francisco (CA), United States. The Prize aims to promote knowledge and appreciation of Italian Pasta, the education of students in learning the nutritional value of this typical Italian food and the spread of Italian gastronomic culture worldwide. The students of the above-mentioned schools may take part in the Competition, each with a single piece of work. The participation is free of charge. Entries may consist in a piece of written work or artwork (graphic work, painting, sculpture, multimedia work etc.) concerning the theme: The most deserving work, chosen in each School, should be sent, by registered post, by the respective Headmasters by October 31 st 2017 to the: Via Lucullo, Roma Italy EDUCATION SECTION FOR THE STUDENTS OF ALL TYPES OF SCHOOLS, INCLUDING VOCATIONAL AND HOTEL SCHOOLS, ART SCHOOLS etc. Pasta in the world: different ways of seasoning it... but it is always pasta! The jury is composed of the President and Vice President of the Museum and of: ANDREA ANSUINI FILIPPO SALADINI DELIA SEBELIN VINCENZO COMI H. E. GIOVANNI D ERCOLE The jury will make a final selection of the papers submitted and select the prize-winners. Ex-aequo prizes are contemplated. Prizes The following prizes are contemplated: No. 1 - Prizes of Euro 500 (five hundred) and a silver Trophy to the winning student, one Prize of 500 Euro (five hundred) and a silver Trophy to the teacher who has followed the work. No. 5 - Prizes consisting of a silver Trophy each to the students and to their Teachers who have followed the work. No. 6 - Trophies to the Headmaster of the winner s school. It is necessary to specify the name of the School, the surname and the name of the student and of the teacher who has followed the work. Each piece of work sent will become exclusive property of the Museo Nazionale delle Paste Alimentari and it will not be possible to ask for their return. The first six or more students together with their Teachers and Headmasters will receive their prizes during a ceremony the location of which will be timely communicated. 3 SECTION FOR JOURNALISM The National Museum of Pasta, the only one of its kind in the world, has resolved to award a Prize for journalism in addressed to the journalists of the Italian and Californian (United States) press. The Prize aims to promote knowledge and appreciation of Italian Pasta, the education in learning the nutritional value of this typical Italian food, which can contribute to alleviate the world hunger problem. Art. No. 1 - Registered professional and freelance journalists may take part in the Competition with articles, essays, photo reportages, radio and television reports published or broadcasted until October 31 st The works may be indicated by the members of the jury. Art. No. 2 - The prize is organized in four sections: Newspaper - Internet Section Magazine Section Radio Section Television Section Art. No. 3 - Four Prizes of Euro (one thousand ) and one silver Trophy for each winning journalist in each of the four sections. Up to two ex- aequo winners are contemplated, according to the final decision of the jury, and in this case they will share the prize. The jury also reserves the right to transfer the prize of one of these sections to another. Art. 4 The National Museum of Pasta has organized a competition in addressed to the students and the graduates of the Universities in Italy and in the area of San Francisco (CA), United States, who, through their studies, may make an important contribution towards promoting the spread of Italian pasta worldwide. Two prizes of Euro (one thousand) each are contemplated. The winners will receive the silver Trophy. Art. No. 1 - Students and graduates of the Universities in Italy and in the area of San Francisco (CA), United States, may take part in the Competition. Art. No. 2- The participants should send in their works, together with their curriculum vitae, by registered post, by October 31 st 2017, to the following address: Art. No. 3 - The Jury of the Prize consists of the President and Vice-President of the Museum, and of: ANGELO LABRINI RENATO FUNARO UNIVERSITY SECTION For the students of the Departments of Nutrition and RAIMONDO ZAGAMI GIUSEPPE BRANCA Food Sciences The Jury may award ex-aequo prizes to two competitors who have sent equally deserving works. In this case the prizes will be shared in equal parts between the two winners. Art. No.4 - The theme of the Prize is: The use of alternative cereals for making pasta (brown rice, maize, buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth etc.) and their health benefits. Art. 5 MARkET COMMUNICATION SECTION The National Museum of Pasta, the only one of its kind in the world, has resolved to award a Prize in , in Italy and in United States, which aims to promote communication directed to the market of the pasta products and other food industries. The Museum has also resolved to award special Museum prizes. Art. No. 1 - Production companies may take part in the Competition with television or radio commercials or images broadcasted or published within October 31 st The members of the jury may indicate deserving works, at their own discretion. No. 4 - The participants should send in their works (three copies of the images published, three CD - DVD for television or radio) by October 31 st 2017 by registered post to the following address: Art.
