2 COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT The Ass. Cult. Exclusevents banishes the First Edition of the International Bands Competition Town of Nepi Award A.Stradella which will take place in Nepi (Prov. VT ITALY) 9th and 10th of August To the Competition will be able to partecipate all bands from the European Community and international panorama bands. The competition will be held at Le Segrete Rocca Borgiana in the Town of Nepi, just 30 minutes from Rome. Application for entry must be sent by June 30th, ARTICLE 1- Competition categories: Second-Third Each Band can enrol in one of two categories. To the competition can be able to participate all non- professional bands with this maximum number of Musicians: 40 components for the bands enrolled in the second category; 35 components for the bands enrolled in the third category It s permitted the inclusion of professional and not habitual musicians up to a maximum number of 5 signaling their names and the instrument played. They are considered professionals The Conservatory Teachers or Music Academy Teachers, Secondary Schools, Orchestral role with a permanent contract at the band and /or Professional orchestra. Graduates in any musical instrument not falling within these parameters are not considered professionals. The components of each band cannot be included in the lists of components of other bands participating to the categories 2 and 3. The components in of each band must obtain appropriate identification tags ascertaining the origin and the category of the competition. The Ass. Cult. Exclusevents reserves the right to verify the identity of the bands components. Bands not complying with the decrees established by this Regulation, the Ass. Cult. Exclusevents will not recognize them any prize and/or final judgments eventually acquired. The personal data communicated will be used only for the purpose of the Contest in accordance with Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Code regarding the protection of personal data).

3 ARTICLE 2 Competition Schedule Bands, indiscriminately by participation categories, for assignment of the award A. Stradella must perform the mandatory piece (specific for each category), a piece chosen between those listed in Appendix A of present regulation. Before the exhibition, the bands will have a room for intonation and for warm up. The performance of the piece Galaxy by Giuseppe Moscatelli valid for the award A. Stradella is mandatory only for the category: Second. The performance of the piece Verso l Oriente by Picarband valid for the award A.Stradella is mandatory only for the category: Third. The scores and parts are available to buy online at the website of the Mulph Music Publishing at the following address: The scores must be purchased only in paper format on the competition section within the website On the website will be available a section dedicated to the purchase of the entire package for the competition. Each band can perform a free piece of warm up that will not be subject to valuation. The warm up piece must not exceed 3 minutes. Bands, before performance at the contest, must deliver to the secretary of the jury no.3 scores in the original of the mandatory piece of the respective participation category and no.3 scores in the original of the piece to be chosen between those listed in Appendix A of the respective participation category. That scores must be picked up at the Competition Secretariat at the end of the daily contest. The Ass. Cult. Exclusevents is not liable for the failure to collect scores beyond that date. The order of performance will be determined by the Ass. Cult. Exclusevents. The above order will be published on the website The Ass. Cult. Exclusevents reserves the right to cancel the contest if it is not achieved a sufficient number of participating band. By law is not permitted the use of photocopies. Upon request, the participating bands will demonstrate the effective purchase of the scores in their possession.

Gramsci, Nepi (VT) Italy Band Competition Entry 9-10 August 2014 Banca Popolare Dell Etruria e del Lazio IBAN IT44Z ARTICLE 5 Examination board The examination board, appointed by Ass.Cult.Exclusevents, will be made up of renowned Music Director expert in the field. The president of the Ass.Cult.Exclusevents, if deems it necessary, will provide with its reasoned determination and subject to ratification by the Executive Committee, to the replacement or addition of one or more members of the examination board. The examination board s decision, expressed by individual components in hundredth, shall be final and irrevocable. It is not permitted intemperances or verbal complaints at the place of execution and outside. The examination board reserves the right not to evaluate the bands due to lack of requirements.

5 The final results and diplomas will be delivered on the same day of the competition of every category at the end of performances of all participating bands. All official paper documents will be written in Italian and English. The examination board after the proclamation of the final classification will remain at the disposal of the Director and/or Presidents at the secretariat for the delivery and verification of evaluation boards with relative scores obtained. Upon final award, representatives of every band are obliged to attend the withdrawal of the documents and awards, subject to forfeiture of the same. ARTICLE 6- Evaluation Criteria The examination board will express the opinion by the following evaluation criteria: Sound: Intonation Quality Sound balancing Technical Performance: Technique Articulation Rhythm Together Artistic Perfomance: Expression and dynamics Interpretation Choice of the program according to the level of the band ARTICLE 7 Schedule The schedule will be divided according to the number and needs of the participating bands. The schedule will be informed by directly to the bands and published on the official website of the competition The competition for every category will be held on the same day or on the same days. The organization makes available: chairs, lecterns and percussion provided in the scores of the mandatory pieces. More additional instruments will be charged to the bands.

6 The Cultural Association Exclusevents reserves the right, where it needs to make further changes to the competition schedule. ARTICLE 8 Merit Ranking and Score The winner of every category will be the band that will have reported the highest score not less than 90 cents, the second will be the band that will have obtained the second highest score not less than 85 cents, and the third will be the band that will have reported the third highest score of not less than 80 cents, the ranking slides. All awards and prizes will be assigned considering the final classification based on the score obtained and will be delivered during the final award ceremony. ARTICLE 9 Awards The awards are the following prizes in money and vouchers for musical scores (possible ex aequo will imply the subdivision of the prize) SECOND CATEGORY 1 st prize 2 nd prize 3 rd prize 250,00 900, ,00 voucher for scores published by Mulph Edizioni 400, ,00 voucher for scores published by Mulph Edizioni THIRD CATEGORY 650, ,00 voucher for scores 1 st prize published by Mulph Edizioni 300, ,00 voucher for scores 2 nd prize published by Mulph Edizioni 3 rd prize 150,00 During the ceremony, the examination board may assign the awards and/or mentions to the bands and/or Director particularly distinguished themselves in competition phase. The organization will give to all participating bands a certificate of participation. On the official website of the competition the final classification will be published with their scores.

7 ARTICLE 10 - Recordings Video and Audio Recordings of the competition phases are exclusive property of the Ass. Cult. Exclusevents which will give copies of the same at own discretion, on written request. ARTICLE 11- Accomodation All travel costs, accommodation and meals are at the expenses of the participating bands, stay and dining in Nepi will be organized exclusively by the agency: Nuove Frontiere Viaggi Via Igino Garbini,01100 Viterbo,Italy Phone +39(0) ;+39(0) Fax info@nuovefrontiereviaggi.com They are not permitted private transactions between the bands and agencies not accredited by the Ass.Cult.Exclusevents. The following rates are reserved for bands and people in tow. Accomodation in Golf Club Bed and breakfast 40,00 per person per night Accomodation in Hotel 3* Half board 40,00 per person per night Accomodation in Hotel 4* Half board 45,00 per person per night Accomodation in Convent Bed only 25,00 per person per night Restaurant/Pizzeria menu In individual meals (lunch or dinner) Starting from 20,00 per person The published rates may change. The above-mentioned travel agency Nuove Frontiere Viaggi will propose, for the period of the competition, packages to visit and stay at the City of Rome, just 30 minutes from the city of Nepi, the venue of the competition. Example: Classical Rome tour full day with guide and lunch included per person; Baroque Rome tour full day guided, without lunch 76.00; Rome individual visit 50,00 per person. Rome Vatican Museum 89,00 per person. On request, available possible excursions in Tuscia area and Viterbo. The registration and documentation needed to participate to the Competition should be sent to the address asscultexclusevents@gmail.com only using the modules available on the official website of the competition no later than 30 th of June Any registrations after this date will be accepted with reservation. Documentation to be sent to the address: asscultexclusevents@gmail.com 1. Application form containing full name of the band with an indication of the responsible contact, address, telephone number (landline and/or mobile), fax, , indicating the possible piece of warm-up; 2. recent photo of the band (Jpg or Gif format, size 500kb); 3. Historical summary (max 2500 characters, including spaces); 4. Passport photo of the Director (Jpg or Gif format, size 500kb); 5. Curriculum Director (max 1500 characters, including spaces); 6. List of musicians with the reporting of professional musicians and instrument played with their authorization to the processing of personal data; 7. Schematic layout of the stage; 8. Copy of the bank transfer of the registration fee of 250,00 in pdf format. TEMOPORARY RULES 1. By law it s not allowed the use of photocopies: the participating bands must possess the scores and the parts in the original; 2. The participating band cannot hold concerts and/or make twinning under the Competition unless authorized and organized by the Ass. Cult. Exclusevents;

9 3. Accomodation and dining in Nepi will be organized by the agency Nuove Frontiere Viaggi; 4. If the Band, once enrolled, had to renounce the participation, the Ass.Cult.Exclusevents and Nuove Frontiere Viaggi travel agency don t have any obligation to give back quotas and material paid at the registration; 5. The Ass.Cult.Exclusevents disclaims any liability for any damage and/or injury to a person and/or things that occurred in the context of the competition; 6. It is forbidden to make video/audio recordings of competition phases, without expressed authorization from the Ass.Cult.Exclusevents; 7. It is forbidden to share recordings audio/video if they are not provided by the Ass.Cult.Exclusevents which reserves the all copyrights; 8. The bands listed have no right to claim or financial request towards the Ass.Cult.Exclusevents and/or the transmitting company in case of: photographic, radio, television, music recording made during the competition; 9. In case of any dispute, the competent court is the court of Viterbo.
