5 Other News In the 15 months since opening, the Reading CAP Job Club has seen 44% of its 34 members find paid employment through the support and practical help provided by us. With a practical eight week Steps to Employment course, individual monthly coaching sessions, peer support and links to local employers, our members are finding the tools and confidence they need to step into work - all for free. We want to help more. Please consider referring your claimants to us by handing out one of our leaflets or even by calling us on our freephone number together during an appointment. 6 Has enhanced its Funding Escalator to include short-term trade finance. The TVB Trade Finance Loan Scheme is part of a series of funding initiatives to support high growth companies that can impact positively on the economic prosperity of the Thames Valley Berkshire area. Whilst existing loan and equity schemes available from the Funding Escalator focus on medium term finance for investment purposes, this latest scheme provides short term funding to overcome issues that may be prohibiting business growth, such as working capital for specific new contracts; short term irregular invoicing patterns; up-front tooling requirements; or performance bonds/guarantees. Exciting opportunity for customers to use transferable skills The Homebuilding sector has recognised a gap of workers in New home building trades and is willing to look at recruiting customers with a different employment background/ up-skill those with no experience but relevant education - this is a Pilot, if it shows a worthwhile success with enough applicants it will continue as more workers in the home building trade is needed to meet demand.
