26 Tinker FCU Virtualization and SAN Case Study Largest credit union in Oklahoma, with over $1.8 billion in assets and over 194,000 members. Faster processing and greater system uptime. Going to a SAN storage architecture allows the CPU and memory to work on processing, rather than data input/output to internal disks, says Steve Mooney, Vice President, ISOperations fortfcu. Additionally, simply due to the improved architecture of the new technology, we ve trimmed our regular four hour backup to just 30 minutes. Lower cost, coupled with greater scalability. Because all environments are on the same box, it takes us literally minutes to move a release from testing to production, explains Grant Woldum, the credit union s EVP and Chief Information Officer.
