Preliminary and inal esign of wo aintenance Plants for High peed rains reight arket esearch talferr has been appointed by urkish ailways ( ) to develop reight arket esearch consultancy services. talferr (leader) is carrying out the project (which is financed by the orld Bank) jointly with renitalia, the rail operator for the errovie dello tato taliane roup. talferr has carried out the preliminary and detailed design of two maintenance plants for high speed trains operating on the urkish high-speed railway network. he 2 plants have been designed for the maintenance of more than 50 trains. he ain aintenance Plant has been designed in nkara ugar actory rea, both for scheduled maintenance and for general overhaul and heavy maintenance. similar plant, the ervice aintenance Plant, has been designed in stanbul- spartakule, for high speed trains scheduled maintenance. talferr was entrusted with the easibility tudy of the new passenger hub of irana. he terminal includes the bus terminal, the new railway station, the tram stop, the taxi area, the passenger services and a commercial center. he study is based on the preparation of the technical layouts, the definition of the services, the calculation of costs and potential revenues, the economic and financial justification and the drafting of a concession contract. he assignment was awarded by the unicipality of irana under B financing. 19
