3 The power of mum-tomum marketing to generate sales The social media campaign Elvira ran for us was a huge success, which directly generated over 5,000 in revenue from training sales. Nikki Cochrane Co-Founder, Digital Mums Digital Mums is a new solution to social media management, training mums to be social media managers and matching them to businesses and charities who need their help. We asked a Digital Mum-to-be to design a campaign for us to increase visits to our website coming directly from social media so that we could recruit more mums for our training courses. She increased traffic to the website from social media by a staggering 737% and collected 268 direct leads as a result of her activity. The campaign Elvira used insights into her target audience to design a campaign New Year, New Beginnings, New You capitalising on the fact that her campaign started in January 2015, a time when many people are spurred into making a change in their life. She ran a competition #IWantToBeADigitalMum with the winner receiving a 50% discount on a course. Cleverly capitalising on the Digital Mum networks Elvira encouraged our existing trainee and graduate mums to showcase the fantastic benefits of working flexibly and remotely by sharing photos of themselves working in unusual locations. Mums entered the competition by sharing similar selfies and winners were selected on the scale of their viral activity. Social media advertising was used to spread the word about the competition. As peer to peer recommendations are the most trusted form of marketing, she cleverly organised an online Q&A session on Twitter with existing mums, so that potential applicants could hear from other mums how great the course was. This alone directly generated over 1,000 in revenue. Being a mum herself meant that Elvira was extremely well-placed to market to other mums - she effortlessly knew how to adopt the right tone, understand their hopes and fears, and alleviate their worries. The success The campaign generated a 737% increase in visits to our website coming from social media, 268 new leads for our training and over 5,000 in revenue in training sales. We were so pleased with Elvira that we have since taken her on to run other discrete campaigns on our social media platforms. Spotlight on...elvira Before taking a career break to raise her children Elvira gained over ten years experience in senior marketing roles within the professional services industry.

4 Building brand awareness for an alcohol support charity HAGA works with and on behalf of people, families, and communities affected by alcohol in the London Boroughs of Haringey, Camden, Islington and Barnet. HAGA wanted to use social media to build brand awareness and to drive traffic to their website where people could find out more. Their Digital Mum-to-be designed a clever, creative campaign that exceeded their referral target by nearly 30%. The campaign HAGA are an organisation with around 35 projects on the go at any one time and 52 staff split across four boroughs so Brett, their Digital Mum-to-be first step was to get inside this complex organisation. She spent time understanding their current and potential services users and designed a social media strategy to specifically reach these groups. Using Twitter and Facebook, Brett designed a creative campaign with a memorable message #ActionsSpeakLouder to provide a dual function: 1. To provide HAGA with a mechanism to talk about what they do to support the community to reduce alcohol consumption, sharing success stories about their actions thereby raising awareness of their services. 2. To provide a call to action at a lifestyle level for those affected by alcohol to make a change, however small - whether it be talking to a professional about their drinking or reducing the number of units consumed each week, including how HAGA can support them with this All of this together allowed her to clarify and communicate HAGA s message publicly, increase their engagement rates, and drive more referrals to their website. The success Brett s brand awareness campaign was targeted at potential service users within the London Boroughs of Haringey, Camden, Islington and Barnet. It resulted in almost 2,000 profile visits and led her to surpass her number of target referrals by 27%. Stakeholders both on- and off-line commented about how HAGA s message was clearer and more powerful as a result of her campaign. HAGA were so pleased with the results that they have hired Brett to be their Social Media Coordinator. Spotlight on...brett Brett had a long career in marketing and communications and spent five years as Senior Marketing Executive at Aberdeen Asset Management before embarking on a new career as a Digital Mum. 5 Increasing audience engagement for a cafe supporting the homeless Crisis is the national charity for single homeless people, with over 10,000 volunteers nationwide. Crisis wanted to get more people engaged with their training cafes, which offer on-the-job training for homeless people. We matched them with Digital Mum-to-be Gill, who increased their social media engagement by 607% and achieved a 238% rise in overall impressions, all while skillfully managing a rebrand. Alana Cookman Head of Cafes, Crisis The campaign Gill s campaign focused on managing a rebrand for Crisis Skylight Cafes as they changed their name to Cafe from Crisis. As with all rebrands, there was worry that they would lose the brand recognition they had built up and that their audience engagement would drop as a result. Gill built her campaign around two main strategies to prevent this. First, she identified influential people relevant to her client s brand and started connecting with them on Twitter. She nurtured these relationships over the course of her campaign and when the time was right, involved them to help promote Cafe from Crisis to their audiences. Then she delved into Cafe from Crisis analytics to determine exactly what her followers interests were. This allowed her to curate the best possible content for them, making them more engaged with Cafe from Crisis and their brand. With over a decade of experience in PR, Gill effortlessly knew how to identify current events that would be relevant for her client. Using this experience, Gill skillfully used hashtags to capitalise on realtime events throughout her campaign. When a Channel 4 News report on homelessness was on TV she live-tweeted as it happened. When another local cafe received national press, she was able to generate substantial exposure by joining in the conversations around them, The success Cafe from Crisis saw a 607% increase in engagement and a a 238% increase in overall impressions - an astonishing result. This was all while managing a rebrand that could potentially have confused their audience and drove down engagement.
