Download the 2012 Student Profile Configuration file from 2. INSTALL PROFILE Select Install. 3. WARNING You may be notified that the Profile cannot be verified. Select Install. 4. ENTER PASSCODE enter your birthday and month eg if you were born in February P a g e

2 5. ENTER FULL NAME for account a. Enter your full name eg. Mary Smith b. Select Next 6. ENTER c. Enter your school address eg. d. Ensure you have entered it in correctly. e. Once you have checked it HOLD your finger on the address for around two seconds and then let go. You should see a pop up. Select, Select All f. Select Copy and select Next. 7. ENTER USERNAME (for Incoming Mail Server) g. Hold your finger where you would type for two seconds and then let go. Select Paste. The address will be pasted. The username should be the same as your address eg. smitmary@sfxmrok.catholic.edu.au h. Select Next. 8. ENTER PASSWORD (for Incoming Mail Server) i. Enter your school password and select Next. 3 9. ENTER USERNAME (for Outgoing Mail Server) j. Hold your finger where you would type for two seconds and then let go. Select Paste. The address will be pasted. The username should be the same as your address eg. k. Select Next. 10. ENTER PASSWORD (for Outgoing Mail Server) l. Enter your school password and select Next. Eg. smitmary PROFILE INSTALLED m. Select Done. Your account configuration is now complete. Select the Mail App on ipad and check to see if the Inbox appears. 2 P a g e

4 Configure Dropbox Account Dropbox is a file hosting service that offers cloud storage, file synchronization and client software.it links all of your computers and mobile devices together via a single folder. It s the easiest way to back up and sync files between computers and mobile devices. The Dropbox Website allows you to access your files on any computer from a web browser. You can also use the Dropbox website to share your files or folders with others. The program can display a number of file types, including images, music and video files; Microsoft Office files; PDFs; iwork files; and HTML and text files. A Dropbox account can be created by using either of the following methods: 1. Dropbox App 2. Dropbox website Creating / Deleting /Sharing folders can only be done by accessing the dropbox website. Dropbox App Method 1. Download Dropbox App to ipad 2. Select Create a Free Account 3. Enter - Use your school address a.eg. smitmary@sfxmrok.catholic.edu.au 4. Enter Password Use your school password a.eg. smitmary Select Create free account 6. Select I Agree 7. Camera Upload - Select Cancel Your Dropbox account setup is now complete. Dropbox Website Method 1. Go to 2. Select Sign In 3. Choose Create Account- 4. Enter - Use your school address a.eg. smitmary@sfxmrok.catholic.edu.au 5. Enter Password Use your school password a.eg. smitmary Select Create free account 7. Select I Agree 8. Camera Upload - Select Cancel Your Dropbox account setup is now complete. 5 Configure ismestorage Account ismestorage enables WebDav access to any Clouds added to a SMEStorage account, such as DropBox. A great way of being able to access your cloud files from ipad / iphone Applications that support WebDav but not your storage cloud of choice Works with iwork (Pages, Numbers, keynote) and GoodReader Set-up SMEStorage Account NB. Your school account and Dropbox accoutneeds to be configured before the SMEStorage account can be set up. 1. Download ismestorage App 2. Simplified User Interface Select Use simplified then Dismiss 3. Choose Register- Enter Details a. - Use your school address eg. smitmary@sfxmrok.catholic.edu.au b. Account Information i. Login - Use your school address eg. smitmary@sfxmrok.catholic.edu.au ii. Password use your school account password c. Swipe to On I agree to be bound to SMEStorage s Terms & Conditions d. 6 4. Registration successful. To validate the registration you will receive an with a validation link. Follow the s instructions. 5. Select Dismiss Go to Mail 6. Open from support@smestorage.com 7. Tap the URL contained in the yellow box to activate your SMEStorage account. 8. The SMEStorage website will open and your account is now setup. 5 P a g e

7 Go to the ismestorage App 9. Sign in Account Information a. SMEStorage Username - your school address eg. smitmary@sfxmrok.catholic.edu.au b. Password your school account password eg. smitmary123 c. Remember Me - Swipe to On 10. Select Sign In 11. SMEStorage Welcome screen appears. 12. Add a Cloud Provider a. After a short while the Add a cloud provider screen appears. b. Select Dismiss c. Tap Add a cloud provider d. Select Dropbox 13. Dropbox Authentication required enter login details 6 P a g e

8 a. Dropbox Username - your school address eg. smitmary@sfxmrok.catholic.edu.au b. Password your school account password eg. smitmary123 c. Remember Me - Tick 14. Select Sign In 15. Select Allow 16. Connecting to your Dropbox account may take up to 30 seconds. 17. When Manage Provider windows appears with your Dropbox details showing, ismestorage account set up is now complete. 7 P a g e

9 Configure WebDAV Sign in for iworkssuite (Pages, Keynote & Numbers) The following procedure is to be completed for Pages, Keynote and Numbers Apps 1. Choose the Pages App 2. Select a document - the Getting Started document is suitable if there are no other documents created. a. Tap the Spanner icon to access the Tools menu. b. Select Share and Print. c. Select Copy to WebDAV. 3. WebDAV Sign In - Enter the following details a. Server address: b. Username - your school address eg. smitmary@sfxmrok.catholic.edu.au c. Password your school account password eg. smitmary Pages WebDAV set up is now complete. 5. Select Cancel Configure WebDAV setup for Keynote and Numbers 1. Access the Keynote and Numbers apps 2. Repeat Steps 1 5 above. 8 P a g e

10 Printing a document at home There are two methods of printing a document at home 1. the document to your school account 2. Access the document via Dropbox Document 1. On your ipad, the document you want to print to your school account. Choose the document format which is compatible with software on the computer you will use to access the document. Eg. document in WORD format if computer has MS Office installed on PC or MSOffice for MAC (Macintosh). document in PAGES format for Macintosh computer. 2. Log in to your account on any computer connected to a printer using the following URL and enter your mysuite login details. URL: Eg. Login details Username: smitmary Password: smitmary Download the document, edit if necessary and print. Print via Dropbox 1. On your ipad, upload the document you want to print to Dropbox. Choose the document format which is compatible with software on the computer you will use to access the document. Eg. The document should be in WORD format if the computer has MS Office installed on PC or MSOffice for MAC (Macintosh). Use PAGES format for Macintosh computer. 2.
