MAXIMO The panel formwork with the MX Tie which is installed from one side only Since its launch in 1986, PERI TRIO has developed into the world s most successful panel formwork system. Arguments such as few different panel sizes or only one single connecting part, the BFD alignment coupler, have set benchmarks in the industry. With the development of MAXIMO, PERI has justified its role as technological market leader. This independent formwork system - fully compatible to TRIO - fulfils the highest requirements regarding costeffectiveness and achievable quality of workmanship. Photo left: perfectly designed concrete surfaces using MAXIMO at the PERI branch office in Viersen. PERI MAXIMO panel formwork Faster through one-sided anchoring with the MX Tie technology without spacer tubes Time saving through the systematised and reduced number of tie points Improved concrete finish through a neat joint and tie arrangement Flexible panel formwork system for all requirements on small building sites as well as for large construction projects. The MX tie is installed from one side only which makes the MAXIMO particularly cost-effective. Cellar of a single-family house in Buchenberg/ Vorderburg, Germany. The neat joint and tie arrangement allows construction of concrete surfaces of the highest quality. Multi-storey car park in Mainz, Germany. PERI MAXIMO 3
Faster with the MX Tie which is installed from one side only MX Tie Item no for wall thicknesses 20/22/24/25/30 The conical-shaped MX Tie rod is also set in the concrete when filling the formwork. Due to the special form, spacer tubes and cones are not required. This saves materials and the tie can be installed and removed considerably quicker MX Tie Item no for wall thicknesses 15/17.5/20/22/24/25 MX Tie Item no for wall thicknesses 30/35/36/40 MX Tie System assembly sequence Preparation Tie installation A. Placing Formwork B. Ties Position MX Wingnut, attach Eye Bolt and tighten with the MX Tie Rod Spanner. Peg out the required wall thickness with cotter pins and turn the nut against the cotter pin. 1. Push the tie through through the closing formwork into the wingnut of the placing formwork and screw in. 2. Screw in MX Tie with the MX Tie Rod Spanner-2 until the Eye Bolt can be attached. 4 PERI MAXIMO
With the PERI MAXIMO, the conventional DW 15 and DW 20 systems can be used as well as the MX tie technology. The opening in the frame allows deviations of the tie rod angle of ± 4. The tie hole is protected against any impact through a metal ring. The Sealing Sleeve seals the tie point and prevents any concrete bleeding. MX Wingnut Item no MX Tie Rod Spanner-2 Item no Dismantling ties 1. First loosen and then completely unscrew the Eye Bolt. 2. Remove ties by means of the MX Tie Rod Spanner Tighten MX tie with the MX Tie Rod Spanner-2 as far as it can go. 4. Tighten Eye Bolt. PERI MAXIMO 5
Time saving through systematised tie points With MAXIMO, the tie points are systematized, i. e. all panel sizes are centrically arranged and each position is engaged. MAXIMO tie point. MAXIMO does not require any edge ties, all tie points are always engaged. With conventional panel formwork, all unused edge tie points must be closed. Additional work is frequently necessary due to unclosed tie holes: Freeing the tie points in the panel which have been plugged with concrete. Concrete cosmetic work on the concrete surfaces affected by bleeding. 6 PERI MAXIMO
Width Height Panel grid arrangement 30 cm MAXIMO panels are available in 6 heights from 30 cm up to 3.30 m as well as 5 widths from 30 cm to 2.40 m in 30 cm increments. In addition, a 45 cm wide panel is available which greatly reduces the use of filler plates. Panel connections with the BFD alignment coupler The BFD alignment coupler ensures neat panel joints resulting in perfect concrete finishes. With only one component, every panel connection is flush, aligned and tight. PERI MAXIMO 7
Time saving through the reduced number of tie points Conventional formwork PERI MAXIMO tie point savings Comparison: PERI MAXIMO vs. conventional panel formwork Apart from the time advantage due to the MX tie being operated from one side only, the reduced number of tie points has a positive effect on the performance factor. MAXIMO requires up to 40% fewer ties results in a clear panel arrangement ensures a neat tie and joint pattern Due to the centricallypositioned arrangement, up to 40% fewer ties are required. In spite of the low number of required ties, concreting can still be carried out quickly with MAXIMO. High permissible concrete pressure Permissible fresh concrete pressure for 2.70 m panels according to DIN kn/m 2 uniform load DIN 18202, Table 3, Line kn/m² triangular load DIN 18202, Table 3, Line 7. Maximo fulfils the high demands regarding the flatness. The high rigidity of the panels ensures only minimum deflection and distortion as well as being a guarantee for a high level of concrete surface evenness. 8 PERI MAXIMO
Time saving through low site personnel requirements For the construction of concrete walls with panel formwork, the two formwork elements facing each other must be anchored. MX Tie DW 15 Tie MAXIMO With the innovative tie system of the MAXIMO panel formwork elements, tie operations take place after a one-off basic assembly of the wingnut on the placing formwork always from one side only. Thus, one less worker is required the performance factor is reduced by approx. 40%. Conventional formwork For conventional systems, one worker is required on each side of the formwork for this working step. More information about the comparison is available at: PERI MAXIMO 9
Working scaffold is not required resulting in more savings Due to the fact that ties are installed from one side only, additional safety measures such as working scaffold for the placing formwork are not necessary which saves both time and money. This is of great importance particularly for high formwork. 10 PERI MAXIMO

Improved concrete finish through a neat joint and tie arrangement Designing concrete surfaces Systematically, cost-effective, simple A frequent request of building owners and architects is the realisation of special wall surfaces without any large additional work and expense using an efficient panel formwork system. PERI MAXIMO is the panel formwork with centrically arranged tie points for each panel. This results in a regular joint arrangement - horizontally as well as vertically. Concrete surface design with the MX grid arrangement With the possibility to select from a range of panel combinations, this provides more creative freedom and thus more design options - cost-effectively realised with PERI MAXIMO. Example: MX tie arrangement Stack More information available at: 12 PERI MAXIMO
The defined arrangement of individual MAXIMO panels in so-called MX grid, allows the creation of attractively-designed visible concrete finishes: neat concrete surfaces no impressions from unused tie points no concrete bleeding from unclosed tie points Perfectly designed concrete surfaces with PERI MAXIMO.
