If the trasfer is to a Commercial/MultiResidet ower, the warraty will cotiue oly util (ad will expire o) the 10th aiversary of the origial purchase date of the Product (ot trasferrable for screes) (that is, the warraty is oly trasferable by the origial Residetial ower to a subsequet Commercial/MultiResidet ower if the trasfer occurs durig the first followig purchase of the Product.) The Limited Warraty for Glass, Lamiated Glass, Factory-Applied Exterior Coatig ad Glass Breakage (for the Warraty Period stated above) is trasferable by the origial Residetial Warraty Holder oe time (i) to a subsequet Residetial ower ad the Limited Warraty will cotiue oly for ay balace of the stated Residetial Warraty Period or (ii) to a Commercial/Multi-Residet ower if the trasfer occurs durig the first followig purchase of the Product (first 3 years for Factory-Applied Exterior Coatig; ot trasferrable for Glass Breakage) ad will cotiue oly util the 10th aiversary of the origial purchase date of the Product (3rd aiversary for Factory-Applied Exterior Coatig). Regardless of the classificatio of the trasferee, the Warraty must be properly trasferred followig the procedure set forth below i order to be effective. For Commercial/Multi-Residet Warraty Holder: for Viyl compoets, Hardware, Glass, ad Lamiated Glass (3 years for Factory-Applied Exterior Coatig) from the earlier of the date Product was shipped from Simoto or a authorized dealer ; trasferable to successive o-residetial owers durig ad for ay balace of the 10 year Warraty Period ad oly if the Warraty has bee properly trasferred followig the procedure set forth below. The 3-year FactoryApplied Exterior Coatig Limited Warraty is ot trasferable; there is o ogoig warraty for Screes or Glass Breakage. Warraty Trasfer Ay Warraty Trasfer previously described will be deemed effective oly if the followig procedures are completed: (1) writte otice is provided to Simoto withi 30 days after the trasfer of owership of the premises where the Products are istalled, (2) delivered to Simoto Widows, 5300 Briscoe Road Parkersburg, WV 26105, (3) accompaied by a copy of this Limited Warraty, the Product order umber (bar code located i the sash head, sill or jamb of each Product).

2 Warraty Holder Classificatios All joits must be checked ad re-caulked, if ecessary, because hadlig of the Products durig istallatio may, i some cases, cause factory sealed joits to be compromised Residetial Warraty Holders: If the Product is istalled i (1) a ew residetial dwellig ad the first occupat ows the dwellig or (2) a existig ower-occupied residetial dwellig, ad i each case, at the time of istallatio such ower is also resposible for Product replacemet, the that ower is a Residetial Warraty Holder. For example, assume the Product is istalled i a codomiium uit (a dwellig ) i a multi-residet buildig. If the first occupat of the codomiium uit is the first ower of that uit (or the first Residetial successor of the first ower) ad is also resposible for Product replacemet, the that ower is a Residetial Warraty Holder; however, if the ower is ot the first occupat (or the first Residetial successor of the first ower) or if someoe else other tha such ower (for example, the codomiium associatio) is resposible for Product replacemet, the the ower is ot a Residetial Warraty Holder. Residetial; 10-years Commercial/Multi-Residet Commercial/Multi-Residet Warraty Holders: If the Product is istalled uder coditios i which o oe qualifies as a Residetial Warraty Holder as described above, the the warraty holder is the ower of the dwellig or buildig i which the Product has bee istalled at the time of istallatio (ad its builder ad cotractor). That ower is classified as a Commercial/Multi-Residet Warraty Holder. For example, this icludes owers of commercial or ivestmet buildigs, or multiresidet premises i which the occupat is ot resposible for Product replacemet whether or ot the occupat ows the residetial dwellig uit i the premises (icludig by example, certai codomiiums, tow homes, duplexes, apartmets, cooperatives). Viyl compoets of Products ad their stadard or factory-applied lamiated iterior surfaces (excludig ay Factory-Applied Exterior Coatig) are warrated agaist peelig, flakig, chippig, blisterig ad corrosio for the applicable Warraty Period. If such defects occur, Simoto will provide replacemet parts at o charge to the Warraty Holder. Simoto reserves the right to provide replacemet products with comparable fuctioality but replacemet products are NOT guarateed to match the color of the origial Product or compoet or of other widows or doors i the premises. This Limited Warraty becomes void if the viyl or ay iterior surface or lamiate is paited, staied, or if the surface is altered i ay way, or as provided below at WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT PROVIDE. This Limited Warraty is further subject to the limitatios ad exclusios below: Factory-Applied Exterior Coatig Bays, Bows ad Garde Widow Products All Products makig up a bay, bow, or garde widow are covered uder this Limited Warraty ONLY if the use, istallatio, fiishig ad maiteace are cosistet with Simoto s recommedatios ad writte istructios that are geerally available i Simoto s Istallatio Istructios as updated by bulletis or other writte commuicatios or o Simoto s website at However, without limitig the foregoig the followig istallatio procedures are emphasized ad failure to do so will void the Limited Warraty: A roof must be built over all Bay or Bow widows (ot required for Garde Widows) after istallatio as the top of the Bay or Bow widow is ot desiged to prevet water peetratio as maufactured, without the help of a roof A cable system must be used to help support from above all Bay or Bow widows (ot required for Garde Widows). Kee braces must be utilized ad must be secured to studs to help support from below all Garde Widows that are greater tha 72" wide or 60 high (ot required for Bay or Bow widows) DO NOT USE water-based stais or water-based sealers o the Oak or Birch veeer i the Bay/Bow or Garde Widow uit. If such defects occur, Simoto will, at its optio, provide the Warraty Holder factory-authorized repair at o charge, or provide replacemet parts oly at o charge to the Warraty Holder (assembly ad labor ot icluded), or refud the purchase price of the Product or compoet (the lesser of the origial Product or compoet purchase price or the origial catalog list price at the time of purchase). Repaired or replaced Products or compoets are NOT guarateed to match the color of the origial Product or compoet or of other widows or doors i the premises, due, i part, to the ormal effects of weatherig over time o exterior coatig or fiishes. This Limited Warraty does ot iclude o-coformities or damage attributable to or arisig from:

Ay matter stated i WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT PROVIDE Hardware Residetial; 10-years Commercial/Multi-Residet The Product Hardware (mechaical ad lockig mechaisms, the stadardfiish optio o Simoto s door hadles, ad Operatig Hardware (i.e., fasteers, rollers, balaces, higes, etc), is warrated agaist peelig, flakig, rustig, blisterig, corrosio, ad breakig durig the applicable Warraty Period, however, this Limited Warraty DOES NOT COVER (1) Casemet ad Awig Hardware istalled withi two (2) miles of ay body of salt water uless the Casemet ad Awig Hardware is stailess steel hardware that is ordered with the Products; i such case, the Warraty Period for the stailess steel Casemet ad Awig Hardware is two (2) years; or (2) the FINISH o ay door hadles available from Simoto as a custom-fiish optio (icludig but ot limited to brass), for example fiish discoloratio or scratches ad abrasios; door hadles with custom-fiishes are warrated oly agaist breakage of the mechaical ad lockig mechaisms. If a defect covered uder this sectio occurs, Simoto will provide replacemet parts at o charge to the Warraty Holder. Repaired or replaced hardware or Products with hardware are NOT guarateed to match the color of the origial Product or compoet of other widows or doors i the premises. Screes Residetial The Product s scree frame is warrated to the Residetial Warraty Holder agaist peelig, flakig, blisterig ad corrosio for the Warraty Period. The fiberglass scree mesh is warrated to the Residetial Warraty Holder agaist isect damage, accidetal puctures ad tears for the Warraty Period. If such defects occur, Simoto will ship via commo carrier replacemet screes at o charge to the Residetial Warraty Holder. This imited Warraty does ot iclude: Scree material damage caused by domestic or wild aimals Bet scree frames due to improper istallatio or removal Istallatio ad the cost of labor for scree replacemet Ay matter stated i WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT PROVIDE

4 Isulatig Glass Uit 20-years to Lifetime (Prorated) Residetial; 10-years Commercial/Multi-Residet The istalled ad sealed isulatig glass uit is warrated agaist permaet ad material obstructio of visio from film formatio caused by dust or moisture i the air space betwee the glass for the Warraty Period. The iteral grid is warrated agaist isert slippage, flippig or saggig for the Warraty Period. If such defects occur durig the first 20 years of the Residetial Warraty Holder s Warraty Period or fails durig the first of the Commercial/Multi-Residet Warraty Holder s Warraty Period, Simoto will provide a replacemet isulatig glass uit at o charge to the Warraty Holder. Isulatig glass uits cotaiig capillary tubes (recommeded for use i isulatig glass uits travelig through or beig istalled i areas with elevatios 7,000 feet or more above sea level) are warrated agaist permaet ad material obstructio of visio from film formatio caused by dust or moisture i the air space for the Warraty Period. If such defects occur durig the Warraty Period, Simoto will provide a replacemet isulatig glass uit at o charge. If the glass should fail after the desigated time period, Simoto will charge the full sellig price for the isulatig glass uit. If the defects occur after the iitial o charge replacemet period, Simoto will cover for a Residetial Warraty Holder a fixed percetage of Simoto s list price of the isulatig glass uit o the Warraty Holder s date of purchase, accordig to the followig prorated schedule. CERTIFICATION APPROVAL, RATING, AND REFERENCES TO OTHER PERFORMANCE STANDARDS MEAN THAT THE PRODUCT MEETS THE ESTABLISHED SPECIFICATION PARAMETERS OF THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS OR STANDARD TESTING AT THE TIME THE PRODUCT IS MANUFACUTURED. Simoto is ot resposible for buildig, structural, or other damage that has occurred as a result of water that may peetrate betwee the Product or ay applied accessory. C. Damage From Failure to Ispect Product Followig Each High-Wid or Impact Evet Product that is subject to ay high wid evet or the possibility of havig bee impacted by wid-bore debris should be promptly ispected by the Warraty Holder or by a buildig professioal if the Warraty Holder caot perform this ispectio themselves or if there is cocer about Product damage. Proper care ad maiteace of the Product is the resposibility of the Warraty Holder ad failure to do so may void the Limited Warraty. Although a Product may appear to be i good workig coditio, the effects of such a evet(s) may have adversely affected the ability of the Product to provide subsequet protectio agaist aother such evet. This Limited Warraty s Exclusive Remedy If the Product or ay compoets fail to meet this Limited Warraty, Simoto s sole obligatio is, to either (as Simoto elects): a) repair the compoet (aesthetic matchig ot guarateed); or b) provide replacemet

6 compoet(s) to the Warraty Holder or to Simoto s desigated dealer (aesthetic matchig ot guarateed); or c) refud the Warraty Holder s purchase price (the lesser of the origial Product/compoet purchase price or the origial catalog list price). Repaired or replaced compoets are warrated oly o the same terms ad for the remaider of the Warraty Period. Simoto reserves the right to discotiue or chage ay Product. If the Product or compoet is ot available, Simoto may select ad provide a replacemet Product or compoet of equal quality ad price. This is the Warraty Holder s sole ad exclusive remedy for the Product uder this Limited Warraty. By example but ot limitatio, this Limited Warraty does ot cover the followig costs ad expeses: (1) except as expressly set forth i this Limited Warraty, labor for removig, reistallig, refiishig Product (or other materials that are removed, reistalled or refiished to repair or replace the Product); (2) shippig/freight expeses to retur the Product to Simoto; (3) ormal maiteace; or (4) cosequetial, special, or idirect losses or damages of ay kid.
