4 don Lorenzo Guetti: the founding father of cooperation in Trentino In 1881, don Lorenzo Guetti, as member of the Dieta tirolese, promoted the constitution of the Consiglio provinciale dell agricoltura made of 27 district agricultural consortia located in Trentino: the most important instrument for revitalising agricultural economy. The aim was to supply foodstuffs at the best conditions. The members could sell their own products directly.
