5 company profile The Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. was founded in 1997 by the Venice Port Authority in order to manage and improve cruise traffic in the Port of Venice. The Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. operates in the Marittima, S. Basilio and Riva dei Sette Martiri areas which stretch over a surface altogether of more than sq. m. of which the Terminals occupy sq. m. The maritime basin in the Marittima area measures about sq.m. The Terminals are in a strategic position not only for the uniqueness of Venice, but also for the location context which allows an easy access to the city, and to all the attractions that surround Venice. The shareholders of Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. are the following: APV Investimenti S.p.A., Finpax S.r.l., SAVE S.p.A. (Venice Marco Polo Airport), Veneto Sviluppo S.p.A., and the Venice Chamber of Commerce. In addition Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. is the majority shareholder of two specialized companies: Venice Yacht Pier S.r.l. (V.Y.P.) founded to increase yachting in Venice Venice Yachts and Ship Assistance (V.Y.S.A.) dedicated to the promotion of services for the maxi-yachts market and VTP Events S.r.l. created with the purpose of organizing fairs and events. The growing needs of cruise traffic and Venice s appeal as a cultural and tourist attraction have given rise to the radical transformation of the Port area starting from 1997 as a result of the joint effort of Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. and the Venice Port Authority. Such transformation is exemplified by the renovation of ancient port buildings once dedicated to the commercial traffic, which have now become modern and multi-purpose facilities. Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. s port facilities cater the needs of any ships berthing in Venice. The Ferry Terminal 123 assists ferries for the Eastern Mediterranean area. The S. Basilio Terminal accommodates medium-size cruise ships, mega-yachts and high speed hydrofoils and catamarans. Cruise Terminals 103, 107/108, 117 and Terminal 1 Isonzo in the Marittima area are multi-purpose facilities which, additionally to their main purpose, are utilised for hosting meetings, conventions and fairs.

7 INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR CRUISE PORTS Since its foundation, Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. (VTP) has reached and continues to fully exceed the objectives for which it was created, handling an impressive 1,887,771 total passengers in 2009, which represents a % increase since The Company has also expanded its operations beyond the Venice area, now also operating the Ravenna Cruise Ship Terminal as technical partner. The complexity associated with the management of a Passenger Port with these numbers, in terms of ship traffic and passenger and operators handling, and with multiple operating sites has led the VTP to look into innovative solutions to improve how it manages passenger flows, to decrease the time ships must remain in the port, and to reduce energy consumption related to port operations. VTP Engineering was founded to meet this need and has developed into a division of VTP S.p.A., the result of a partnership with Abacoingegneria Treviso S.r.l., an engineering company highly respected in the area of industrial design, consulting for project management and technical engineering services. The objective of VTP Engineering is to design and implement innovative technological solutions and patents to apply to port-related areas.

11 The port of Venice: strategically located and linked All terminals are easily connected with the mainland. In fact the Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A is situated at the exit of the Ponte della Libertà (causeway connecting Venice to the mainland), allowing to reach the Passenger Port by car, taxi-cab, water taxi, public waterway or bus. In addition all terminals are only 3 minutes far from the historical city centre and St. Lucia Railway Station thanks to the People Mover, a land funicular connecting the Passenger Port to Piazzale Roma, the point in which land traffic enters the city. This monumental work that will completely change a side of the city and the town entrance, responding to local mobility and international visitor reception requirements, will be completed by the construction of a new multi-story car park along with shops and hotels located at the Marittima area. Furthermore, less than 13 kilometers from the Venezia Terminal Passeggeri, the Marco Polo Airport with its 200 daily flights completes the Port s claim to be one of the most easily accessible Cruise Terminals. 18 TERMINAL 107/108 Terminal 107/108 is a two-story facility restored at the end of 90s. Equipped with a modern adjustable gangway and designed for easing the transit of in and outgoing passengers without compromising security and customs controls, it allows the simultaneous berthing of more than one large ship. Easy access to embarking and disembarking procedures is granted by the strategic location of the facility: the proximity with car depot areas 1 and 2, the availableness of dedicated taxi ranks and areas for cruise line transfer coaches immediately outside the Arrival Hall allow for a more rational and problemfree management of passenger flows. 20 TERMINAL 117 The Building 117, a former warehouse converted into a modern cruise terminal, was opened in 2006 for facing the increasing numbers of ship calls. Divided into two separate functional areas, both on ground floor, with a sq. m. Departures Hall and a sq. m. Arrivals Hall, it is provided with three waiting rooms, a duty free shop, a large check-in area with high-tech security screening systems, as well as with facilities for reduced mobility passengers (PRMs). BASILIO Terminal St. Basilio, a single storey ground floor building, built at the end of 80s and renovated in 90s, offers assistance and support to small cruise ships, providing all services necessary to embarking/ disembarking procedures: check-in, luggage acceptance, customs control and high-tech security screening. 24 TERMINAL 1 ISONZO The Terminal 1 Isonzo, opened in 2009, is a state of the art facility set on two levels covering an overall surface of over 8,681 sq. m. Designed for providing all passengers a smooth experience while embarking and disembarking, it counts among its amenities a fully licensed bar and café, a duty free shop, a VIP Lounge in the Departure Hall, as well as a 1,432 sq. m panoramic terrace. PASSENGERS INFORMATION DESKS Information points dedicated to the needs of passengers are located in the arrival and departure areas. Fully qualified hostesses will provide free information regarding Venice, transportation service, transfers, city sights, events and exhibitions, including a complimentary City map. LEFT LUGGAGE DEPOSIT AND LOST & FOUND SERVICE The left luggage deposits are located on the ground floor of Terminal 103, 107, 117, Terminal 1 Isonzo and S. Basilio and are open during the days when ships are embarking and disembarking cruise passengers. 27 DUTY FREE & SHOPS Duty free shops are available for departing passengers in Cruise Terminals 103, 107/108, 117, Terminal 1 Isonzo and S. Basilio. A newsstand is located outside the arrival hall of Terminal 107. FIRST AID SERVICE with doctor and ambulance Located in the in the building 255 the service is available during days when ships are embarking and disembarking calling the following n ATM SERVICE The service is located at the first floor of the Terminal 107/108 in front of the Café. CAR DEPOT AREAS The Port facilities of the Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.a are provided with open car depot areas for up to 1768 cars + 21 reserved for passengers with reduced mobility and 40 buses. Located in the Port Area and so at walking distance from the embarkation, the car depot areas of the VTP are actively guarded. The OUTDOOR CAR DEPOT AREAS n.1, 2, 4 only reserved for cars, are gated and under 24 hour video-surveillance, with automatic access control. The OUTDOOR CAR DEPOT AREA n. 3, reserved for campers and buses, (cars may only access there for short stays or long stays if depot areas 1, 2 and 4 are full) is delimited and provided with automatic access control.

28 FLY & CRUISE SERVICES FOR CHARTER FLIGHTS IN AND OUT OF VENICE Cruise passengers flying in and out of Venice on a charter flight can now arrive at the airport shortly before the departure for the flight home, allowing them to enjoy all Venice has to offer without having to worry about the hassle associated with the check-in and their luggage. The pre-check-in services jointly proposed by the Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. and the Venice Marco Polo Airport cater to the needs of passengers who have purchased cruise packages inclusive of charter flights to and from Venice. The transit of said passengers is simplified since they receive boarding cards for their return flights, upon the ship s docking in Venice. Their luggage is tagged at the Port and transported directly to the airport on sealed trucks. The Marco Polo Airport, despite the stricter security regulations, is able to propose this service thanks to the new technologies, in particular with the BHS system which allows for complete scanning and accountability of the luggage. The co-operation between the Port of Venice and the Airport creates an important synergy between the two Entities, with the goal of increased client satisfaction by offering higher quality services. The joint efforts of the Port of Venice and the Airport are based on the provision of superior efficiency and transparency standards designed to render the entire Veneto Region more attractive to the potential customer. Cruise Terminals have no architectural barriers and are suitable for reduced mobility passengers, including wheelchair users. Facilities for the reduced mobility passengers include: Assistance Seats; Raised step treads outside the building to assist blind passengers, with entrance ramps for wheelchair users; All lifts accommodates wheelchairs and have low-level buttons; All doorways are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs; Reduced mobility men s and ladies toilets are located by the waiting room of the embarking area; Shuttle Bus to/from Cruise Terminal-Ship; Car Depot Areas. Assistance Seats During the embarkation/disembarkation operations wheel-chairs may be requested at the Information Desks of Venezia Passeggeri S.p.A., located at the ground floor and fist floor of the Cruise Terminals 103, 107/108, 117 and Terminal 1 Isonzo. Upon request, a fully staffed Hostess, after check-in, can accompany alongside the ship a cruise passenger with disabilities. Car Depot Areas The outdoor car depot areas of the Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. are provided with 21 reduced mobility-designed car depot spaces (yellow painted).

Seafarers work long hours, often under lonely, perilous conditions. Signing on for year-long contracts at sea in order to support loved ones at home, mariners must deal with isolation, stress, dangerous conditions and increasing incidents of piracy in certain parts of the world. We find most crew now come from countries where unemployment is very high and the jobs they find with cargo and cruise lines provide means to support their families and build futures for them. In addition to being so far from home, seafarers are nearly invisible to the societies they serve, for this reason Stella Maris Friends offers to them support at different levels. 31 venice marco polo airport SAVE S.p.A. has been managing the Venice Airport System, which includes the airport of Venice and Treviso, that has globally recorded 6,7 millions passengers in the With over 200 daily flights, the Venice Airport represents a crucial junction for international exchanges. The strength of the Airport is the airline traffic which represents 94% of the total. With a surface of around square metres, the new passenger terminal has been designed for 6,5 million passengers. Five hundred kilometres of electric wires, data transmission and optical fibres make it one of the most technologically advanced air terminal of Italy: 60 check-in points, an advanced Baggage Handling System, extending itself for a total length of 3000 metres, will enable the luggage automatic handing-out through optical scanner systems. Boardings will be done through six loading bridges which are directly connected with the aircraft and equipped with automatic optical scanner systems; otherwise, they can be done through passenger shuttles. More than 6 millions Euros have been invested for providing the terminal with video-surveillance devices, access control systems, x-ray devices for the luggage control, x-ray systems for the control of hand luggage, metal detectors. The security system planning features a high degree of innovation. Besides the different system control software with a surveillance function (fire-fighting, smoke control, intrusion control, gate control, etc.) a further global control system is scheduled. In order to ensure a pleasant stay in the terminal, retail areas covering a surface approximately of square metres has been arranged in the departure hall: here one can find the most famous trademarks such as Bulgari, Ferragamo, Ermenegildo Zegna, Valentino, Burberry, Montblanc, Loro Piana, Brooks Brothers, Ferrari, La Perla, Bose, Belstaff and much more, and restoration areas such as Marco Polo Café, Culto Café, DeCanto Winery, Hub, La Bottega dei Sapori.
