3 2 COMPANY PROFILE COMPANY PROFILE We take great pride in the quality of our workmanship. For over 70 years, Ltd. has been providing quality workmanship and service. With an established reputation in the steel, paper, forest and mining industries in Northern Ontario. We have a quality team of machinists/millwrights and welders who continuously monitor and adapt to current industry requirements. With a commitment to customer service, our specialized team strives to perform exceptional workmanship. With the latest technology, Rector s performs accurate and precision work. Our employees care about our customers needs and make sure that the finished product is made or repaired to correct specifications. Your project receives prompt and courteous attention every time. A progressive company, we are always improving the way we do business. Rector is ISO 9002 and CWB certified. These certifications have enabled us to steadily grow in our manufacturing divisions as we are also certified to provide services to government and private companies. In mid-1993, we increased our services and capabilities in Northern Ontario by adding a Drive-Line and Balance division. To compliment this division, RMW Drive Line and Balance is an authorized distributor of Dana Canada. Our stock includes different Spicer, Meritor, Perfect Circle and Neapco styles of yokes, splines, U-joints and much more.

HISTORY HISTORY Hervey Rector Sr. and his wife Loretta began their journey into the machine shop business in Espanola Ontario in the 1930s. Thirteen years later, the Rector s relocated their business to Sault Ste. Marie, first operating out of their home on Charles Street, and in 1952, moving to Wellington Street West. Upon the death of Herv Sr. in 1967, son Herv Jr. and wife Sandi took over and continue to operate the business today with their sons Mark and David and daughter Michelle at their current 10,000 square foot facility on Sackville Road. The bulk of the machine shop business in the earlier days consisted of repairs and sales of washing machines. The company later expanded into repairs and maintenance of equipment for lumber mills, bakery shops and private contractors. Today, Rector s runs 5 divisions and has 28 employees, two of whom have been with the company for over 20 years: Shop Foreman, Gerry Poirier and Supervisor of Technical Services, Larry Girardi. A family-oriented business, Rector s boasts numerous fathers, sons, daughters and brothers in the employee ranks. Rector s has successfully expanded operations to include work in the Steel, Paper and Forest industries. As one of the first machine shops to be ISO certified, Rector s is diversified and provides many areas of service. The five main divisions include: Machine Shop Millwrighting Welding and Fabrication RMW Drive Line and Balance Hydraulics & Metal Sales
