2 Facilities W.F Welding & Overhead Cranes is a Canadian owned and operated private corporation that was founded in Our workforce of over 75 qualified employees bring numerous years of experience to the design and development of structural steel and overhead cranes. Our facilities are located in the Nisku Industrial Park, south of Edmonton, AB, and only minutes away from the Edmonton International Airport. W.F. Welding & Overhead Cranes Ltd. is engaged in the fabrication of structural steel, overhead cranes, and crane door systems. We design, manufacture, and install a product that best suits the customerʼs requirement. The majority of our projects range from 20 to 1500 ton. Our 23rd Avenue plant contains our head office, a fabrication area of 12,500 square feet, as well as a storage area of over 11,000 square feet. The shop and yard area are serviced by numerous overhead cranes and jibs. This facility is used for fabrication of overhead cranes and miscellaneous structural steel projects. Service and Parts W.F. Welding & Overhead Crane Service is an Alberta owned and employee controlled crane service centre, specializing in manufacturing and servicing overhead cranes at competitive prices. Our service department has now expanded to Calgary to better serve the area of southern Alberta. W.F. is the authorized dealer for GH hoists and components. We keep a large inventory at our Nisku warehouse in the event that the customer requires an immediate repair in order to maintain production. Typical types of service include: - Service for O/H Cranes, Jibs and Monorails - Electrical and mechanical repair - Structural and welding repairs - Service for all makes and models - Annual or semi-annual inspections Engineered Certification: - P.Eng on staff - Crane and runway structural certification - Load testing with test certificate - Certified test weights (available for rent) W.F. has a team of in house professionals consisting of Structural Engineers, Drafting, Purchasing and Project Managers, who provide our clients with a complete ʻturnkeyʼ structural package. W.F utilizes modern CNC equipment to automate the fabrication process, increasing both efficiency and precision.
