7 LOOP CURRENT DEEP WATER HORIZON J2 - Situation Update Modeling continues to project a shift in the Loop Current that could significantly reduce the amount of oil forecasted to reach Florida. It is less likely oil presently in Loop Current will make it to the FL west coast unless a strong tropical weather system emerges in the Gulf pushing surface oil east.
