3 What is the PMRN application? The PMRN provides administrative support for school level administrators and teachers that administer: The Florida Kindergarten Readiness Screener Work Sampling System (FLKRS WSS) The Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading Aligned to the Florida Standards (FAIR FS) on the 3 12 Web based Assessment Module (3 12 WAM). The PMRN system also provides access to various reports to monitor student progress.

6 SSO Authorization Information Superintendents have a new role: The superintendent must have two roles: User + District Admin. The system automatically assigns superintendent s access level in the PMRN system. The District Admin role must be manually assigned in the SSO Admin Portal. All other district level staff requiring access to the PMRN system must have two roles: User + Teacher roles.

7 SSO Authorization Information The school principal s role is expanded: The principal must have two roles: User + Principal. The system automatically assigns principal s access level in the PMRN system. The Principal role may be manually assigned in the SSO Admin Portal or submitted via file. New this year, more than one user may receive the Principal authorization. All other school level staff requiring access to the PMRN system must have two roles: User + Teacher roles.

8 PMRN v5 Enhancements Public School Registration Process School Administrators (principals) complete school registration tasks by signing into SSO and selecting PMRN. New this year: School registration is automatically accepted! This allows principals to immediately set up users and assign access levels. SSO Admins may authorize more than one user with the Principal role. This allows school registration and/or user set up tasks to be shared among several school administrators.

9 PMRN v5 Enhancements Manage SSO Users Public school employees sign in to the PMRN system through the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) SSO Portal. New this year: SSO users are automatically linked to their PMRN account information. This reduces the set up effort necessary by school administrators. More detailed messages about user account issues are available. This allows school administrators to quickly identify a user s status and take appropriate action.

14 Providing Access to the PMRN System PRINCIPAL/DESIGNEE: Registers School and Manages Users Users with a Principal authorization sign in to SSO and access the PMRN system to: Register school, assign access levels to other users at the school (i.e. teachers), create Coach Users (optional), manage students, classes, periods and view school reports. TEACHERS: Sign in to SSO and Access the PMRN System for Progress Monitoring

15 Authorization Information PMRN has four roles: user, principal, teacher and district admin* Authorized through: Online via the SSO Admin Portal File via the Authorization File Users must have a state ID populated in their SSO account. *The district admin authorization must be provided manually online through the SSO Admin Portal.

16 Processing Information Online Processed on the hour, Monday through Saturday from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm and Sunday from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm. Allow 10 minutes for processing to complete. File Processed every night after 11:00 PM. Exception: The maintenance window is the 4 th weekend of every month. Processing is suspended during maintenance Friday night at 6:00 pm through Sunday at 9:00 pm. Then, normal processing resumes.

All users with authorizations for the PMRN system require two roles: User and District Admin User and Principal User and Teacher Users with more than two roles or less than two roles will experience access issues. Recommend reviewing reports to ensure the proper number of authorizations are provided per user.
