2 We have created this guide to help direct inquiries to the proper area in an effort to improve efficiency and speed of handling your requests. GCU has undergone an intensive initiative focused on redefining and reengineering our internal workflow processes to deliver the best possible service to our Agent Family. The result is three specific areas that were designed to meet your needs: AGENT SERVICES This department works with agents on issues that occur BEFORE an application for new business is written: appointments and licensing, product and procedural questions, Illustration Software, Agent Portal Access, and questions regarding our annuity and life insurance portfolio of products. NEW BUSINESS AND UNDERWRITING Once an application is taken and sent to us, this area handles everything from receipt of the application to when the final contract is delivered to your client, including new business contract production, transfers, 1035 Exchanges, etc. Any activity that needs to occur during the production process is handled by this area. Additionally, they also handle the underwriting and production of ALL new life cases. MEMBER SERVICES Once the contract is delivered and you have any questions regarding an EXISTING account or need to make a change to a contract, Member Services is designed to answer your questions and to quarterback any changes through the system to their ultimate completion on behalf of you and your client. 4 New Business Production and Life Underwriting This area handles all new business and conversion application processing, contract issuing, and contract mailing. 5 Member Service Calls This area handles all requests pertaining to EXISTING contracts: Account Information (Balances, Interest Rates, Etc.) 6 GCU Life Insurance Illustration Program (Not compatible with Apple Computer products at this time.) Go to: Click on Download Type in your Name and Address Password is: gcu Click on the File in the middle of the page and follow the prompts. Be sure that the Create a Desktop Icon block IS checked. Once the download is finished, click on Begin to launch the program. You will now also have a desktop icon that is titled GCU Software. NOTE: Depending on your computer s security settings, you may have to give permission to run the program. Additionally, you may get a warning about downloading from an unknown/unsafe site. This software will NOT damage your system, so you are safe to download it. Once you click begin, you should do a couple additional things: 1. Click the New button on the top menu. 2. Click on the right-pointing white arrow in the green circle. This will refresh your system. 3. Click on Agent at the top menu, and enter your information. This will customize the illustration when you print the complete document. (You may also choose to print only the summary page, but a complete, signed illustration is required with every life application.) On the agent information screen, you do NOT need to enter your license number or your agent number. Should you have any difficulties or need assistance, contact Agent Services. 6
