1 Continuing Education Information for the 2015 STD Treatment Guidelines Webinar: An Overview by CDC and the NNPTC, June 22, 2015 Step-by-step instructions on how to obtain CE credit on TCEOnline Continuing education for this activity is available through the CDC Training and Continuing Education Online system only. Please follow the instructions provided below. All learners must complete an evaluation and posttest before receiving continuing education. Visit CDC s Training and Continuing Education Online system found at ( Log in as a participant by typing your log in name and password. Remember, passwords are case sensitive. The first time you use the online system, you will need to log in as new participant and create a participant profile. If you have difficulty logging in, please visit the Help Page or ce@cdc.gov.
2 If you view this webinar between June 22 and July 27, 2015, log on to TCEOnline by July 27, 2015 and do a keyword search for EC1956C (see screenshot). If you view the archived webinar after July 27, 2015, do a keyword search for WD1956C by July 28, 2017.
3 Select the course titled Emerging Issues in Sexually Transmitted Diseases: 2015 STD Treatment Guidelines Webinar: An Overview by CDC and the NNPTC (EC1956C or Web on Demand WD1956C). Click on the course link to open the registration page. Scroll down to the box that says Register Here. Click on the type of Continuing Education that you would like to receive and then submit. If you only need a certificate of participation, please select Audit.
4 Three demographic questions will come up. Complete the questions and then Submit. Select Click Here if you have viewed the webinar and would like to complete the evaluation and posttest. Complete the evaluation and posttest and Submit. You will need to score an 80% or better (1 retake allowed) on the posttest in order to receive credit for this webinar. Upon completion, you will be redirected to the Participant Services Page. Click on the Transcripts and Certificates link (see below).
5 Click on your certificate on the transcripts page (see below). To print your certificate, locate the course on your transcript page and click on Certificate. If you are required to present posttest score, select With Scores at the top of the page. If you ve gone through all of these steps and are still having trouble, please and courtesy copy or call TRAIN.
6 Continuing Medical Education (CME): The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME ) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Continuing Nursing Education for Nurses (CNE): The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited as a provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This activity provides 1.5 contact hours. IACET Continuing Education Units (CEU): The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is authorized by IACET to offer 0.2 CEU's for this program. Continuing Education Contact Hours in Health Education (CECH): Sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. This program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) to receive up to 1.5 total Category I continuing education contact hours. Maximum advanced level continuing education contact hours available are 0. CDC provider number Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE): The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This program is a designated event for pharmacists to receive 0.15 Contact Hours in pharmacy education. The Universal Activity Number for EC1956 is L04-P. The Universal Activity Number for WD1956 is H04-P. This activity has been designated as Knowledge-Based. There is no fee for this course.
