A website or marketing campaign that does not utilize the incredible power of video will not fly nearly as high as it possibly could if it ignores video. By harnessing video and incorporating it into your sales strategy, it is possible to significantly increase your sales. Here are 5 video marketing ideas to get you started. When I have implemented these strategies, both for my own business and also for my clients, we always see positive results. This is why I have selected them as representing my top five strategies to take on your competition and WIN! About the Author Marcus Seeger is a Video Profit Strategist and Owner of Video Experts, a video marketing agency in Melbourne, Australia. As you know, testimonials are extremely valuable and help convince potential buyers that you are a safe, reliable business providing a valued service or product. Testimonials will give you credibility and help a potential buyer to reduce their fears surrounding their purchase. If your potential customers can see other people, just like them, who are happy customers, then they are much more likely to purchase from you. Everyone wants to make the best buying decision and testimonials are a fantastic tool to help people feel comfortable that they are making the right decision to purchase from you. Video Testimonials are authentic and believable. They are a powerful and proven cost effective way to boost sales. 2. Recruitment Videos A simple strategy to attract stellar staff to work at your business. A Recruitment Video is simply one of the most effective ways to attract quality applicants who are well matched to the personality of your organization. 3

4 Imagine this It's time to hire new staff members. Your HR team is preparing the ad and is aiming to attract the most suitable applicants. How do you ensure that the right applicants will apply - those that are the best fit for your organization? How do you attract STAND OUT APPLICANTS? The answer is A recruitment strategy that leverages a well-crafted recruitment video. Recruitment videos are a fantastic opportunity to really show your company culture and personality. It can even communicate the story behind your brand. It is important to focus on highlighting the benefits of working at your organization and also outlining the types of applicants you are seeking. Keep it simple but be very clear in your message and have a strong call to action, such as "Apply now!" Some brain storming questions could be: What is it like to work at your organization? What types of attributes do you seek in your employees? What opportunities are available to your staff? What type of people DON'T you want working at your organization? A recruitment video can be shared across multiple platforms including YouTube, twitter, Facebook, website, job ads such as SEEK, and so on. Job listings with video are viewed 12% more than those that are just text. On average you will receive a 34% greater candidate application rate by using a recruitment video. Beyond a single recruitment video is a recruitment Channel on YouTube. These feature multiple videos including employee experiences and testimonials. Life at Google is an excellent example. 4

5 I have started to see more and more organization s use recruitment videos and the results have been very, very positive. In conclusion, the sooner you have a recruitment video to share, the sooner you can benefit from, not only more applicants, but applicants who are BETTER matched to your organization! 3. Thank you Video LinkedIn My #1 Tip for Building More Valuable Connections on LinkedIn. The "Thank you for connecting with me on LinkedIn video is one of my personal favourites as an effective video marketing strategy. Since I started to use it, I have been able to start every LinkedIn connection with a bang! The feedback I have received has been very positive. Firstly, this is because not many people are doing this, so it is a surprise. And secondly, with the power of video, the connection I can 5

6 make is so much deeper than an . New connections often say It was nice to meet you, after simply watching the video - even though we have never met face to face. I have a generic thanks for connecting video set as private on YouTube. I simply send a message from within LinkedIn to a new connection and insert the video URL. You could consider creating a custom thankyou video for individual connections when the connection is particularly personal or important. 4. Video Marketing The most effective way to communicate online (and my #1 video marketing strategy) Receiving an that contains a video message is THE most powerful and effective way to connect with someone online. The only thing that beats it is an actual face-to-face meeting or catch up. Here is a simple example of a way to include video marketing into your sales funnel in this example, we re selling an exercise machine. An inquiry is received via your contact form > Auto responder sent with welcome video and details on how to order the exercise machine. Customer purchases product > video sent to say thank you and provide information about how to use the exercise machine. This could include a demonstration with tips on how to get the most out of your exercise routine. Follow up 1 > video checking in that everything is great with their new product and to see if they have any questions Follow up 2 > video introducing an exclusive offer that is only available to them as an existing customer. Anniversary date of purchase - maintaining engagement. > video checking in on their progress and request for feedback. The example above is a just a simple sample of how to effectively use video but will give you some ideas about how to incorporate a video drip sequence for your business. 6

7 There are various video programs available. For a basic version I suggest eyejot and for a more sophisticated version I use BombBomb which can be integrated into Infusionsoft and Sales Force. Whilst some successful e-commerce businesses are benefiting from online demo video s, many are not. I actually find this very hard to believe, but it is true. It is well known that Zappos, a customer experience leader, effectively uses product and sales videos (their web site has 250,000 + videos) 7

8 which converted 35% more sales when compared to non-video product pages. I wanted to mention online product demo videos as, whilst it seems to be very obvious, there are immense gains to be made for any business that is selling products and doesn t yet have demo videos! Conclusion So, there you have it 5 video marketing ideas that will help you floor your opposition. In them selves, they are all great ideas. They become so much more effective because it most likely your competition has not implemented any of them. You will STAND OUT from the crowd IF you implement these strategies.
