Cyber-Threatening Behaviors & Social Media Panel Presentation, Slippery Rock University (November 15, 2011) This presentation discussed topics related to cyber-threatening behaviors, including cyber bullying, and was sponsored by the Office of Student Conflict Resolution Services and the Women s Center at Slippery Rock University. Representatives from the Office of Student Conflict Resolution Services, Women s Center, University Police, Criminology Department, and Communication Department discussed and answered questions related to victim resources. Social Media & Amusement Parks, Slippery Rock University (March 3, 2011) This lecture was presented to Dr. Katrina Quinn s PR Campaigns course and focused on their client, Conneaut Lake Park, and examined social media usage at amusement parks. E-Portfolio Workshop, Slippery Rock University September 2009, January 2010, September 2010, & February 2011 Introduction to digital portfolio development using online web services, including Weebly, Wordpress, and Wix. NASPA 2008 Annual Conference, Boston, MA (March 2008) Assisted in the conduction of the ReadySET, the freshmen orientation package for Syracuse University, poster session and answered questions about the design concepts of the ReadySET. My graphic and web design firm were responsible for the planning, development and design of the orientation package. This committee is responsible for researching and developing potential program advancements for the department, and creating plans to implement the proposed advancements. Student Mentor. Meet and consult students on social media campaigns and website development for their internships. Slippery Rock University Department of Communication Advisory Board Present. Slippery Rock University Department of Communication Website & Social Media. Responsible for updating the Department of Communication web pages from Fall 2011 Spring 2013 and currently leading a group of students with the analysis and redevelopment of new materials for the Facebook page. Slippery Rock University Department of Communication Representative. Served as the department representative to numerous student visitations and freshmen orientation workshops. Student Marketing and Development Committee. Served on this committee during the academic school year in the Department of Communication at Slippery Rock University. SRU Digital Portfolio Workshop. This workshop is part of the Senior Seminar presentations, where students are responsible for creating a digital portfolio documenting their work at Slippery Rock University. I was responsible for lecturing on planning, developing and designing a digital portfolio, and was the point person to students having questions about the process. NHinteractive. Newhouse Interactive is a Web site used by the Newhouse School to display student work and practice online storytelling. I was responsible for building the site and the supporting Content Management System to manage the site. ( Cuse Clothes Line. Cuse Clothes Line is a new student-run blog for student s interested in learning about blogging and blogging about fashion-related topics. Established in my Spring 2008 Fashion course, it has been adapted from a class blog to a start-up student organization.
