SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS Over seven years of College Level Teaching experience in the field of interactive media, animation, motion graphics, photography and web design in both on-ground and online classes. Over two and a half year of University Level Teaching experience in the field of motion graphics, web design, graphic design, animation and photography in hybrid mode of instruction. 15 years of work experience in various photography, advertising, marketing and creative studios and agencies. Advanced working and teaching knowledge of all Adobe Cs5 & Apple graphics programs. CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, DOMINGUEZ HILLS : AUG 2010 TO PRESENT ART DEPARTMENT : INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL GRAPHICS : HYBRID CLASS This course is an introduction to motion graphics with an emphasis on learning the features and functions of After Effects. Students will work on different projects as well as various exercises to further their knowledge of the program. Students will be exposed to the concepts, design and techniques of motion graphics, animation, compositing layers of computer generated imagery and live action video, special effects, camera movements and cinematic points of view. Students will study the work of professional animators, directors, and studios to demonstrate many techniques. All of these will be used to help the student develop a good sense of design and communication. Software Applications Used: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) ART DEPARTMENT : ADVANCED DIGITAL GRAPHICS : HYBRID CLASS

2 This is an advanced course focusing on the expression of concepts, ideas and story for movement-based projects. Students will produce independent projects from original concept to final rendering. Software Applications Used: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) and Cinema 4D ART DEPARTMENT : GRAPHICS APPLICATIONS : HYBRID CLASS This course introduces students to the Macintosh platform, graphic interface, and professional level graphic applications; Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Illustrator CS5. From photographic retouching techniques to creating images and illustrations for web and print, students will gain a thorough understanding of the nature of vector and raster based digital files and develop the skills needed to produce raster and vector based graphics work. The projects and assignments in this course focus on providing students with a thorough understanding and exploration of these applications. Software Applications Used: Photoshop, Illustrator (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) ART DEPARTMENT : PHOTOGRAPHY : HYBRID CLASS This course is multi-faceted, covering many aspects of photography. First and foremost, students will learn how to use the photographic medium for personal artistic expression creating high quality fine art digital photographs. The basic fundamentals of photography will be introduced, including: ISO (light sensitivity), shutter speed, aperture, depth of field, lighting, focus, bracketing, and white balance. In addition, this course will cover the history of photography and its important developments and the photographers who helped shape this relatively young art form to its present importance as a respected art medium and communication tool. Students will also gain an understanding of a variety of photographic genres applying them to their own photographic practice. In the process, students will learn the importance of composition and other art elements have in making meaningful and compelling photographs. Students will develop critical thinking in the analysis and interpretation of meaning in photographs. Page 2

3 ART DEPARTMENT : INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA : HYBRID CLASS This is an introductory course in web design. Students will learn the essential tools for authoring and design of their portfolio websites for personal promotion as artists. Software Applications Used: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) ART DEPARTMENT : DESIGN PRACTICES : HYBRID CLASS This course introduces students to the elements, principles and the creative process of graphic design. Students develop an understanding of design methods within visual communication. Along with expanding visual thinking skills, the focus throughout this course is on exploring the relationships between concept, words, image, and the problem solving process of real world graphic design solutions. Software Applications Used: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) SANTA MONICA COLLEGE: FEBRUARY 2006 TO PRESENT PHOTOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT : WEBSITE DESIGN FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS Create interactive, dynamic and professional websites for the purpose of electronic display of photography student s online portfolio. Introduction to design principles, dynamic media, and search engine optimization for personal portfolio promotion and marketing purpose. Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver will be used to help students develop and learn design, communication and interactivity concepts. Software Applications Used: Photoshop, Dreamweaver (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) GRAPHIC DESIGN DEPARTMENT : BEGINNING WEB DESIGN This course is designed as an introduction to web design for students with a basic knowledge of computers and graphic design applications. Students will learn to think critically about web design and apply basic conceptual design principles. Components of design such as color, typography, layout and composition will be discussed. Other topics include: an overview of the web and how it works, designing a navigation interface, web graphics, information architecture, HTML, web hosting, and file/site management. Students will design and create a simple web page utilizing basic features of a web authoring software. Software Applications Used: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) Page 3

4 GRAPHIC DESIGN DEPARTMENT : INTERMEDIATE WEB DESIGN An intermediate course, focusing on different approaches and technologies in delivering online content. Students will learn different approaches and technologies in delivering online material. Topics include: Dynamic HTML, web hosts and servers, search engines, web graphics, web animation, and web authoring tools. Design issues such as effective communication, technical constraints, typography, navigation interface, and information architecture will be addressed. Students will design and create a multi-page web site utilizing advanced features of a web authoring software. Software applications used: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) GRAPHIC DESIGN DEPARTMENT : MOTION GRAPHICS AND VIDEO EDITING This hands-on course focuses on bringing together elements of photo, text, movies and sound, with basic editing concepts to create complete video projects. A variety of techniques and approaches are discussed and covered to enhance, pace and set the mood for portfolio quality video projects. Software Applications Used: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) and Final Cut Pro ENTERTAINMENT TECHNOLOGY : WEB ANIMATION-ONLINE : elearning This class will focus on all aspects of web animation, giving special attention to characters and graphics, as well as interactivity and light programming. Students learn the tricks of controlling file size, special approaches for importing and creating animation, and all other production techniques needed for building complete interactive web animation projects. This is an Online class. Software Applications Used: Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, (Adobe Creative Suite Cs5) SANTA MONICA COLLEGE: SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTOR GRAPHIC DESIGN DEPARTMENT : BEGINNING PHOTOSHOP, SPRING 2008 Using Adobe Photoshop, this computer class teaches students how to scan, manipulate, and enhance digital images for print and web reproduction.
