1 2015 Central Florida Fair Creative Arts General Rules & Regulations We will offer free online entry on our website at There is no charge to complete your online entry form. Online entry registration deadline is February 14 th, Drop off for your entries will be on Saturday, February 21 st, 2015 (10:00 am 5:00 pm) and Sunday, February 22 nd, 2015 (1:00 pm 5:00 pm). Creative Arts Sales The Creative Arts Exhibit will offer handmade items for sale to our fairgoers. This is your chance to take home an original piece of art or craft created by a local artist. Only items entered in the 2015 Creative Arts Exhibit will be eligible for sale this year. The Central Florida Fair will deduct a 5% commission from all sales to cover operating expenses. Entrants may register their items for sale when they bring them to the Fairgrounds on entry drop off days, or by including a note with the sale price with entry forms if entries are being mailed. For further information, please contact Debbie Zielonka at (407) or debbie@centralfloridafair.com. Entry Information Pre-registration is encouraged to expedite the check in process. Online registration is the preferred method for entries to be submitted. Online entry will be available until Feb. 15 th, 2015 at Entries will be accepted on the date of check-in without prior registration as long as they have met the requirements of the competition. Any deviation from these dates must have approval of the Exhibit Manager. Faxed entries are strongly discouraged because of poor quality. Forms may also be mailed to Creative Arts Exhibit, Central Florida Fair, 4603 W. Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL 32808, or faxed to (407) Online Entry Information If you haven t ever tried online entries, this year would be a good time to give it a try it is fast, easy and saves you time. 1. Find the link on our website select Competitive Exhibits. Decide what your entries will be (and don t worry, you can change your mind!). 2. Click the large banner that reads Click Here to Register Online. 3. Go to Login (on the left) and chose the Exhibitor as the type of account. 4. You will have to create an account even if you used online entry last year. Choose the I am a new exhibitor. After you have created an account and want to make a change, then choose I have previously registered. 5. Follow the steps to complete your entries; print your receipt and you re done!! We then print the information and entry tags and have everything ready for you when you bring your prize winning entries at Take In weekend! In Person Bring entries to the Main Exhibit Building, Central Florida Fairgrounds, 4603 W. Colonial Drive Orlando, FL Package must include entry, copy of complete entry form, self-addressed return mailing label, and check or money order to cover the amount to return postage and insurance, if applicable. The Central Florida Fair is not responsible for entries ruled ineligible due to damage or delay in shipping. Entries will be returned within 10 working days of Fair closing. Any entry not picked up, unable to be returned due to insufficient postage, or returned to us as undeliverable will become property of the Central Florida Fair. CREATIVE ARTS GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS The following rules and regulations apply to all Creative Arts Departments (Craft & Hobbies, Fine Arts, Needlework, Adults and Youth). Any exceptions or special instructions will be listed in the in each Department. 1. Articles MUST BE CLEAN, completed (bound, framed, stuffed, hemmed, etc., as applicable) and strictly handmade. All articles entered must have NEVER BEFORE SHOWN at the Central Florida Fair. 2. A numbered tag with detachable stub is attached to every individual entry delivered in person. This stub is your receipt and must be surrendered when you claim your exhibit. SEE THAT YOU GET A STUB FOR EACH ARTICLE ENTERED. 3. If at the time of judging, articles under the heading of three or more entries are found to be the same and of sufficient merit, a separate class will be created and suitable prizes awarded. The judges also may elect to break a specific Class into two or more if the type and quality of entries so warrant, and to award prizes based on the new class structure. 4. If there is an absence of competition, or if the exhibits are inferior in quality, only such awards will be made as, in the discretion of the judges, the exhibit merits. 5. The same exhibitor may enter up to TWO entries in each Division. Any entry may compete in one class only. 6. The entry must be the work of the exhibitor, living at the time of entry. No entry accepted in this department from any club or organization. 7. All ADULT divisions are open to residents of Florida or visitors in Florida at time of Fair. All ADULT entrants age requirement is 18 years or older. 8. All YOUTH divisions are open to residents of Florida or visitors in Florida at time of Fair. All YOUTH entrants age requirement is 17 years or younger. ~ 1 ~

The Central Florida Fair reserves the right to reject any entry not considered suitable, being too large, heavy or small to be displayed properly, or being in non-compliance with these rules and regulations. 10. Every article that is to be hung must be framed or mounted and ready to be hanged with wire. 11. Entrants must follow any special requirements listed under any individual division. 12. Cash prizes and ribbons may be supplemented by merchandise awards, based on contributions from commercial concerns. Best of Division or Best in Show awards will be awarded at the judge s discretion. 13. Decisions of the judges will be final. 14. Any items entered into the Creative Arts Exhibit may be photographed and used by the Central Florida Fair for advertising. 15. The Central Florida Fair will take every precaution for the safety of all entries, but will not be responsible for loss of or damage to any entry, or personal injury that is the result of entrant s participation in the Central Florida Fair. CREATIVE ARTS GENERAL PREMIUM INFORMATION Please note that all prize money checks awarded in connection with the Creative Arts Exhibit shall be cashed by the recipient within 90 days from the date of the check. If the recipient fails to timely negotiate said check, all monies due recipient shall be considered a contribution to the Central Florida Fair by the recipient. Any disputes regarding premium awards must be reported to the Fair office by March 31, No exceptions!
