1 INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF NORWAY Oslo Chamber of Commerce WEEKEND SUGGESTIONS Week 15 HI EVERYBODY! Why not be a Tourist in your own city? On Sunday 15 th April the residents of Oslo are invited to get out and enjoy attractions around the city for free. The purpose is to get Osloites better acquainted with the city, the attractions and the public transport system. To participate you need an event pass ("Turist i egen by-pass"). You can get them in advance from the Oslo Visitor Center or on the day from the City Hall, 09:00-13:00 and the Visitor Center 09:00-16:00. The pass gives entrance to a number of attractions, discounts in selected restaurants and free travel in Oslo zone 1, by bus, tram, ferry and subway. Do not miss this great opportunity to enjoy Oslo for free! Hope you enjoy our WeeeekendSuggestions! USEFUL INFORMATION Peak season for flea markets Twice a year many of the school brass bands organise their flea markets at the local schools. The flea markets are the most important income source throughout the year. This is an excellent opportunity for us to get a great bargain or to give away what we do not need any more, but others may find useful. This weekend there are flea markets at the following schools: Lysejordet, Marienlyst, Oppsal, Huseby, Stebråten and Tåsen. More information and upcoming dates here. Photo: Aktivioslo.no Turban day If you are in the city on Saturday, 14 th April, look out for the Norwegian Turban Day.
