1 To begin with, I am applying for the position of Vice President of Union Development. For the past four years I had an excellent and unique possibility to study myself as an international student in three different locations. During the years I have been living in Denmark, where I got an AP Bachelor Degree in the field of Hospitality and Tourism Management. To finish my Bachelor degree I have chosen one year program in Harstad University College. Also, currently I am continuing the studies in the field of Tourism and Hotel Leadership as a master student in the University of Stavanger. Since the young age I have perceived myself as an active, communicative, hard working and responsible person, who has been constantly involved in the schools or universities social life. I do believe that the social life is a crucial part of any education system as it builds ones character, helps to improve personal traits and expand network within the field of interest. Moreover, during the academic year of 2013/2014 I was presented with an opportunity to join ISU Harstad as Vice President. By working there I have gain an unforgettable experience as I got a better insight view into the ISU in general, as well as, got a change to work together with a great team in order to improve the social life and easy the adjustment of the new international students. In addition, being a part of ISU Harstad taught me fast decision making, problem solving and importance of a group work. Furthermore, I believe that I would be a useful addition to the ISU National Board as by being an international student in different destinations I have learn to adapt faster to the new environment, I know the challenges, the difficulties and problems students are facing when being newcomers in both big and small universities. As well as, by meeting people from dozens countries all over the world, I became more tolerant and openminded. Consequently, I am highly motivated to work as a Vice President of Union Development as I am sure that working within ISU Norway will not only provide me with a possibility

2 to improve communication between local branches, as well as, international students life in general, but also will help me to continue to grow as a person.
