Queen s Executive Program Queen s Executive Program is our flagship program and one of the world s most popular general management programs. There are two options for completing this intensive three-week program. OPTION ONE TRADITIONAL FORMAT OPTION TWO MODULAR FORMAT Participants may complete the program over three consecutive weeks. The three-week option is offered once in the spring and once in the fall. I. Strategy Strategic planning processes and implementation: Draft and implement a dynamic and effective strategic plan. Participants may fulfill the requirements for this certificate by completing the program as three stand-alone 5-day programs. Queen s Executive Certificate in Public Sector Leadership This stream is focused on meeting the leadership challenges of today s public sector, including policy management, policy instruments, policy performance, public sector management, ethics and improving your personal leadership style. Queen s Executive Certificate in Public Sector Leadership is awarded to participants who complete the following two programs: Public Executive Management Leadership ssb.ca/cpsl Together, these programs provide a unique opportunity to explore and discuss the policy landscape, strategic planning, and your personal effectiveness and leadership style. Public Executive Management This 5-day program has been developed to address the key leader-manager competencies identified by the Treasury Board of Canada and provincial public service counterparts. The program provides a unique overview of frameworks and processes for applying strategic thinking and planning to the policy issues facing today s public sector executives. As the pre-eminent executive development program for public-sector managers, it gives you a chance to meet with peers, share ideas, and reflect on the challenges facing the public service in today s rapidly changing global environment. The program will enhance your knowledge and insight into the issues, and your strategic thinking skills, to help you meet these challenges. The program is also an excellent forum for networking and professional development. No other program in Canada provides the same kind of exciting and intensive opportunity to interact with public-sector leaders from a wide variety of jurisdictions across Canada. Leadership This 5-day program provides insights and one-on-one coaching that will change the way you think about leadership and the way you are perceived as a leader.
