Welcome to your online class experience. This web site will give you access to all the documents you need for your class and allow the class to meet virtually to discuss your work. The following document will take you through the steps to use this web page. Please try to gain access to the site BEFORE class starts. Read through the first couple of login pages and get started. Contact Heather Wycoff at the Griffin Center if any questions arise that are not covered in this tutorial. (503-652-7476) or hwycoff@archdpdx.org 7th Update 9/15

Step One: Gaining entry to the web page 1. You must have an account set up with the Archdiocese of Portland. a. If you work in the Parishes, you most likely already are set up and will just use that archdiocesan email login for this website. b. If you do not have this account, your name and information has been sent to the Archdiocese. You will get a separate email that includes your login and temporary password. (You will have to do an initial setup with this new login but it will be the same login for future classes.) My login name: My temporary password: My new password: Remember Me Site This is where you change your password (every 90 Days) My Remember Me Image: My Remember Me Security Word:

Step Two: Password Change & Log On Stay here if you are a new student with a temporary password or a previous student that would like to change their password. Finish and go to Step 3. To change password you must use Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Safari Go to: https://rememberme.archdpdx.org/ Go to the back end of this tutorial and start with the pink pages for full instructions Forgot your new or old password, try going through the steps first. If this does not work: call tech support 503-233-8339

If there is a problem with the website s security certificate, choose: Continue to this website This will not open up your system to security problems, this is just a technical issue with the website certificates.

Step Four: Main Page & Location of Material Once you have login in, this is what the main page will look like. Home button will always get you back to this main page This will be where you can find various helpful web site links. Depending on the class, your instructor may require visitation of sites or just some informational ones. This quick launch will get you back to the class document library ; this will contain all the class documents. This would be used if the document you were looking for was taken out of the shared documents because that module week had passed Shared Documents will contain 1-3 modules, as the weeks progress documents will be added & others taken away. This will be where you do your weekly class discussion. At the end of each week, one discussion question will be added and one taken away.

Step Five: Shared Documents This is the location of weekly modules and assignments. Click directly on the module you want. Please note: documents will be posted in PDF format (universal format for all computers and devices). Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat installed on your device (free program that reads PDFs).

Step Five: Shared Documents This will be your next decision: 1. Save this document to your personal computer, then work there and print it later. -or- 2. Open & view/print this document online.

Responding is highly suggested, to keep the class talking to each other. This is our online equivalent of a classroom. Please share.

Other Information There is more than one way to get to all the class files, I showed you the most straightforward approach to all of this. Feel free to explore the site. Everyone who has access to this web site, can edit it. Please refrain from deleting files or adding files, if you have technical difficulty contact Heather at the Griffin Center 503-652-7476 More than one class may be going online at the same time, please respect the other classes by sticking to your class & materials only. Homework will be sent directly to the teacher as an email attachment, since posting your work to the web page will give everyone access to read it. The discussion board will be your area for class discussion at this time. Be mindful that the content of the modules is copyrighted. Observe normal rules for quoting and citing content.
