Bank by phone. Fast. It s easy to use FastPhone to get direct access to your accounts at any time of the day or night. Whether you re moving money, paying bills or just checking your balance, once you re set up with FastPhone, you can do all of these from just about any phone, just about anywhere. Why FastPhone? Once you re set up with FastPhone, you can: Get your account and credit card balances Transfer funds between accounts or to and from Pay bills up to 90 days in advance Listen to your last ten transactions Find out if a cheque has been presented Get a list of your automatic payments Find out our latest Term Deposit and Call Account rates Get the latest Foreign Exchange rates Order cheque books, deposit books and statements. Setting up FastPhone. It s easy to set up, simply call us on 0800 80 80, or visit any ASB branch. Once you re registered, you ll have two important FastPhone numbers. Your customer access number. This number tells us who you are. If you have a FastCash or Cashflow card (EFTPOS card), it s the last 0 digits of your card. If not, don t worry, a staff member can provide you with an access number when registering. You might find it handy to write it on your FastPhone Wallet card for easy reference. Your 5-digit ID code. You ll need to register this number with us and keep it really safe. But don t write it down. This is like a PIN for FastPhone. It s the number that makes sure you re the only person who can access your accounts. And, like any other PIN, you re responsible for keeping it secret. Want to use FastPhone now? Go for it. If you ve registered for FastPhone, just call 0800 7 7 from your landline or mobile phone, and have your Customer Access Number ready. Processing times. You can do all of it anywhere, at any time, in real time. In fact, the only thing that doesn t always happen instantly is when you transfer money to other banks. Same day bill payments to ASB accounts: If you set up a payment before 8pm on a business day, it will be processed that same day. If you do it after 8pm it ll happen after 6am the next day in most cases. Personal Banking Terms and Conditions or Business, Rural and Corporate Banking Terms and Conditions apply as appropriate. Bill payments to other banks: Any bill payments set up after 8pm, or for a nonbusiness day, which are going to other banks, will in most cases be processed on the next full business day.

The main menu (below) will tell you the keys you will need to enter to do this. 5 6 Useful Keys. These numbers are like shortcuts that you might find really handy when you re using FastPhone. 7 Auto-help. If you need help at any time, you can press 7. Then our special Auto-help will explain things in more detail before helping you back into FastPhone, right where you left it. 8 Return to main menu. If you need to go back to the main menu, just press 8 and you ll head off there straight away. 9 End the call. If you ve done what you needed to do, it s always a good idea to press 9 to end the call properly. Remember to wait until FastPhone tells you a transaction has been completed before hanging up. 0 Real person help. If you press 0 at any time you ll be put through to our Contact Centre where one of our team can help with anything you need. * - Skip back. Missed something and need to go back? Just press *. Note: These functions will only work when FastPhone is expecting you to select an option. They won t work if you are about to enter a value (like a suffix or a payee code). Handy hints. Key ahead. Once you re used to FastPhone, you don t need to wait for each message before you make a selection. You can simply key over the voice straight to the services you need. Entering dollar values. Just enter the value in dollars and cents, but miss out the decimal point. Eg: $00.00 would be 0 0 0 0, then press #. Entering dates. Dates are made up of four digits. The first two are the day and the second two are the month. Eg: March would be 0 0 then press #. Any questions? What if I forget my ID code? Just call our team on 0800 80 80 or pop into any branch to get a new one. Can I change my ID code? Yes. Simply call FastPhone, key in your Customer Access Number, your current ID code and press 6 and follow the instructions. What type of phones can I use? Any touchtone telephone is suitable, including mobile phones. What s an account suffix? It s the last two digits of your account number. FastPhone will often ask you for suffix of the account you wish to access. You may find it handy to keep a note of your different account suffixes on your wallet card.
