Neshannock Township School District Curriculum Overview Computer Graphics Plan Course of Study Course Objectives: Materials: Knowledge Base: Grading Procedure and Assessments: Curriculum Alignment: Course Description: Required This is a full year, one-half-time, ½ credit course This is an introductory course for any student who would like to use the computer to create art and design projects. The course includes creating a variety of different types of drawing, painting and photo manipulating design projects in Adobe Photoshop. Basic elements of designs and compositions are taught and works will be critiqued as a group and individually with the teacher. Students will also learn how to use printers and scanners. Students will communicate a unifying theme or point of view through the production of works in the arts. E. Students will demonstrate and maintain materials, equipment, and tools safely at school and home. F. Students will incorporate specific uses of traditional and contemporary technologies within the design, production, and exhibiting of computer art. G.
