If you have accepted Christ as your personal savior and would like to be baptized, please fill out the form below, or online @ woosterchurch.org registrations. There will be a BAPTISM class at 9:00am in Fellowship Hall A on April 12. If you have any questions, please call the office @ 330-262-1471 and ask for Chris Myers. Yes, I want to be baptized on April 19. Name Address Phone Circle one: Adult Teen Child Place in Chris Myers mailbox. by April 12 Baptism Why should I be baptized? 1. To follow the example set by Jesus (Mark 1:9) 2. Because Christ commands it ( Matthew 28:19-20) 3. It demonstrates that I really am a believer (Acts 8:18) ( 1 John 2:3) What is the meaning of baptism? 1. It illustrates Christ s burial/death and resurrection. (1 Cor. 15:3-4) (Col. 2:12) 2. It illustrates my new life as a Christian. (2 Cor. 5:17) (Rom. 6:4) Baptism does not make you a believer... it shows that you are one already. Baptism does not save you. Only your personal faith in Jesus Christ can do that. (Eph. 2:8-9) Why baptize primarily by immersion? 1. Because Jesus was baptized that way (Matthew 3:16) 2. Every baptism in the bible was by immersion (Acts 8:38-39) 1. In the Greek text, the word baptize means to dip under water. It best symbolized death, burial and resurrection! Who should be baptized? 1. Every person who has believed in Christ (Acts 2:41 and 8:12-13) When should I be baptized? 1. Just a soon as possible after you have accepted Jesus into your heart. (Acts 2:41 and 8:35-38) Profession of Faith I believe in the Jesus of the Bible; that He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life in human flesh; that He died on the cross to pay for my sins; that He rose from the dead on the third day; and that He now lives at the right hand of the Father. I confess that Jesus is the Son of the only living God who created me and all that is. I confess that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. I have placed my trust in Jesus alone for forgiveness of my sins and have I have committed to live my life to please Him.

Welcome! Pastor Nathan here! We have nearly made it through the toughest part of winter in Ohio. God is good! In this season, I am reminded that we all need to take care of our bodies. Here s why! 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 [NLT] 19 Don t you realize that your BODY IS THE TEMPLE of the HOLY SPIRIT, who LIVES IN YOU and was GIVEN to you BY GOD? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must HONOR GOD WITH YOUR BODY. God has LOVINGLY AND INTRICATELY created His home on earth us! He made our bodies to CONTAIN HIS PRESENCE for a lifetime. Another reference says that we live and move and have our being in Him. So we need to walk in the MEASURE OF HEALTH that He has intended. We are RESPONSIBLE! When God created us He said VERY GOOD! Of all that He created WE are MOST PRECIOUS to His heart. So I am suggesting that taking care of our bodies is one of our SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES a God-given responsibility. We are to do this as an offering TO HIM and FOR HIM. This is to be our MOTIVATION. As we rapidly move towards Easter during our 21 day emphasis on Prayer and Fasting [March 13 April 3] let s DISCIPLINE AND DENY ourselves in order to remind ourselves that we have been CREATED FOR HIS PURPOSE. Let s offer our bodies to Him as LIVING SACRIFICES. What s Happening Family Service TODAY: KIDZ grades 1-6 sit with their families.
