World Recent Class GIS Engagements Geospatial Technologies & Pacific Gas & Electric NIPSCO Portland General Electric Sure Power has supported a number of Geospatial and Asset Management related projects across both Gas & Electric, including Electric Distribution (EDGIS), Pathfinder (Gas Distribution), and Mariner (Gas Transmission). Our primary team is supporting the effort to implement business workflows and tools around the management of their Gas Transmission assets. The secondary team is comprised of data experts who are in charge of data cleanup and consolidation in PODS, creating scripts or workflows to streamline data integration and general oversight over data entry from pipeline feature lists. Sure Power Consulting is leading a project where millions of features from paper records are being integrated into NIPSCO s production GIS. Using an innovative data replay approach, they will be adding every service line, updating any spatial inaccuracies to all gas features, updating all gas main attributes (install date, material, diameter, etc) and adding any new features to the GIS that may exist on the historical documents. Other activities that were required for the project include: physical data model updates, ArcFM configurations, scanning/indexing source documents, QA/QC, Maximo integration updates, software implementation, and training. Portland General Electric s Next Wave project is implementing new technologies to improve their productivity and update many of their processes to make the most of these new systems. T&D Transformation has centralized some groups and worked to standardize processes, as well as the equipment they use, so that they can heighten safety and efficiency. The Next Wave project includes four key components: 1. Graphical Work Design 2. Replacing the existing GRID/FRAMME GIS, with ESRI ArcGIS & ArcFM 3. Maximo, Mobile & Scheduling 4. Oracle Outage Management System
