Welcome to the FMC Subsea School The Subsea School is FMC Technologies global training program developed specially for everyone who is new to the subsea industry, or wants to have a deeper basic knowledge about the offshore operations and equipment used in the global subsea industry. The syllabus will give the participant good knowledge about all aspects with respect to the different disciplines associated with this type of offshore industry. We aim to give the participant insight in the subsea technology as well as the operative aspects of installing and maintaining equipment on different water depths around the world. As HSE aspect is an important success factor for our business, the focus on the matter is of a big something. Therefor this will be touched differently as the different topics are taught. The FMC Subsea School is put together of nine modules. To give the best possible outcome for the participants, we have organized the syllabus so that the progression through the modules is according to the actual offshore operations. The modules are offered as class room training with extensive use of pictures, animations and videos to visualize the topics. We warmly welcome our vendors and customers to our Subsea School company internal training courses held at our premises at Customer Support Office, Bergen, Norway, or we offer the training program to be taught at any location worldwide. 3

Training Schedules and Participation The FMC Subsea School can be delivered in different ways. The syllabus is currently developed as two different course packages: One day modules with an optional test at the end of each module: Day 1: SS Subsea Technologies Introduction Day 2: SS Structures Systems Day 3: SS SS SDS Drilling Systems Day 4: SS Well Completion Systems Day 5: SS Well Access Systems Day 6: SS Well Intervetion Systems Day 7: SS Installation and WorkOver Control Systems Day 8: SS SPS Connection Systems Day 9: SS CDM Production Control System Day 10: SS Processing Introductions A five days compressed course with the agenda as follows: Day 1: SS Subsea Technologies Introduction Day 2: SS Structures Systems / SS SDS Drilling Systems Day 3: SS Well Completion Systems / Well Access Systems / Well Intervention Systems Day 4: SS SPS Connection Systems / IWOCS Day 5: SS CDM Production Control System / Processing Introductions Participation to the training courses is offered in different ways: FMC company internal training course at our premises at Aagotnes (Bergen), Norway At customer s premises when the customer buys the training At any convenient site for a group of customers, vendors or other interested parties. 4

SS Subsea Technology Introduction The module addresses personnel with no or limited knowledge within subsea production systems and personnel working within the subsea service industry or petroleum production The module is mandatory for personnel attending to other modules in the Subsea school. : None The module will give knowledge of oil and gas production in general. A short historic overview is followed by technical issues as field layout, how a well is drilled, how a subsea production system is developed and which tools that are used to install the equipment on the seabed. New IOR technologies like subsea processing and subsea well maintenance are also covered.
