Meet the Professionals Andrew VAhAb, CFP, AIF Director Wealth Management Financial Advisor Andrew Vahab, CFP has been with Citigroup for close to a decade. He is the Senior Member of The Madison Group and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM. Andrew follows the core principles of the financial planning process, while focusing on building strong client relationships and providing excellence in service. Most importantly, he maintains a high level of ethics in his everyday practice. For The Madison Group, Andrew is Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee and sits on the Business Planning and the Marketing Committees. Andrew was born on Long Island, grew up in South Florida and currently resides in Manhattan. A graduate of Baruch College (CUNY) with a Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, he majored in Finance and Investments, minoring in Political Science. Andrew is an avid sports fan and enjoys traveling to different parts of the world, learning different cultures. Over the past two years, he has explored Brazil, Vietnam, and Panama. eden demar, CFP, AIF Director Wealth Management Financial Advisor Eden Demar, CFP has been in the financial services industry for nearly 10 years, 7 of those as a Financial Advisor. Working with HNW individuals and institutions, he develops a comprehensive understanding of clients goals and objectives in order to establish proper customized strategies. Leveraging the robust platform and research that Citi Global Wealth Management offers, he typically utilizes a number of different instruments to best match his clients needs. For qualified clients, he places a high degree of emphasis on Alternative Investments. He also works actively with the capital markets group on Equity Syndicate Offerings. Eden is Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee of The Madison Group and sits on the Marketing Committee. As a result of growing up in the Dominican Republic, Eden is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese. This has enabled him to work with and service clients from around the globe, particularly Latin America. Utilizing offshore funds, annuities and trusts has allowed these clients to benefit from favorable tax treatment. Eden graduated from the University of Scranton and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER. MArIo C. FrAtto, AIF First Vice President Wealth Management Financial Advisor Mario C. Fratto is a 14-year veteran at the firm, and has spent over 16 years in the financial services industry. His years of experience have helped him to navigate his clients through all types of markets, both positive and challenging. Mario utilizes multiple strategies and advanced planning techniques to create unique strategies to help our clients achieve their financial goals. His core approach is to generally allocate client assets into three categories: equities, fixed income (which can include cash), and Alternative Investments. He is perhaps best known for his knowledge in capital markets, retirement planning, corporate cash management, hedge funds and advanced estate planning. Mario is the head of the Business Committee and is Co-Chairman of the Investment committee. Mario was born and raised in Seneca Falls, a small town located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York just outside of Rochester. Growing up in a small town instilled in him the values that he holds in the highest regard to this day: honesty, trust, work ethic, and above all, integrity. These values are the guiding principles that he applies to each and every client relationship. Mario has received some of the company s highest accolades throughout his career at Citi, including the President s Advisory Council (2004-2007), CitiStars (1999-2001), Century Council (2008), and President s Council (2009). He graduated from The State University of New York, College at Brockport where he majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. When away from the office Mario enjoys relaxing with his family, golfing, skiing, boating and fishing. He is also an aspiring chef, who hopes to someday open his own restaurant. He currently resides in Long Beach, NY. david SteCker, CFP, AIF Vice President Wealth Management Financial Advisor David Stecker, has been with Citi for nearly 12 years, recently becoming a Vice President of wealth management. He has worked within the financial services industry since 1995. David completed New York University s CFP certification process. David works with clients in the areas of Insurance, Investments, Income Tax, Retirement and Estate Planning. David earned his college degree in Finance & Investments, attaining the rank of Cum Laude at the Zicklin School of Business at Bernard M. Baruch College. VInCent ZAPPolA Financial Advisor Vincent Zappola has over eleven years of Wall Street experience and has spent the last two years at Citi Personal Wealth Management. He is the most recent addition to The Madison Group. Vincent believes that creating longlasting relationships with clients starts with the financial planning process. He works with clients to identify their goals, risk tolerance and time horizon, and he then uses his understanding of global markets to establish comprehensive, customized strategies which may include equities, fixed income and alternatives. Before joining The Madison Group as a Financial Advisor, he spent over a year as an Investment Consultant working in Citibank locations across the New York City area. As an Investment Consultant, he helped deepen relationships with bank clients and identified appropriate investments for their specific needs. Prior to joining Citi in 2010, Vincent spent over five years as a portfolio trader and research analyst for a number of several mid-sized hedge funds and family offices. His knowledge of investments can be seen in the time he takes to help clients better understand how the markets can affect their portfolios. Vincent earned a Bachelors Degree in Finance from North Carolina State University in May 2000.
