5 Scott Heyer, CRPC Executive Financial Services Director Vice President Scott started his career in the financial services industry upon earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from The University of Tampa in Prior to joining his colleagues in wealth management in 2003, Scott worked with asset management firms helping raise over $2.5 billion in capital. He is instrumental in assisting the team with our portfolio allocation and due diligence processes of constructing strategic and tactical guidelines; which seek to ensure clients are not subjecting themselves to unnecessary risk in relation to accomplishing their life goals. He is recognized as an Executive Financial Services (EFS) Director with Morgan Stanley's Corporate Client Group. He resides in South Tampa with his wife, Kelly, and their three children. He is a member of St. John s Episcopal, Tampa Yacht & Country Club, and Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla. During his time away from work he enjoys attending his kid s events and activities, watching movies, golf, tennis and travelling. Christine Gil, CFP First Vice President Christine earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry & Biology from Morehead State University. She moved to Temple Terrace, Florida in 1972 and in 1981 began her financial services career. With over three decades of financial industry experience Christine has cultivated long-standing client relationships and continues to do so. She focuses on developing comprehensive estate, financial and succession plans for affluent families and business owners. The planning process strives to ensure that clients can maintain their lifestyle throughout retirement, efficiently transfer wealth to family members and address philanthropic endeavors. Christine continually educates clients and will collaborate with their attorney and tax advisor through ongoing reviews. Christine resides in Tampa Palms with her husband. She has been involved in many civic and community organizations and her passion for animals led to her volunteer efforts with Big Cat Rescue. She is a member of the Association for Financial Planner s, and the Temple Terrace and Tampa Palms Country Club. She enjoys golfing, exercise and is an avid reader. Susannah Townsend, CFP Financial Planning Specialist Vice President Susannah earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in She earned an MBA in Finance, Marketing and International Business in 1998 from the University of South Florida. She focuses on providing clients with a holistic and comprehensive approach to financial planning, whether it is with the goal of creating, preserving or transferring wealth. This is accomplished by prioritizing goals, developing a plan and determining the ongoing strategies needed to implement the process. This process encompasses working with other trusted advisors, including your attorney and tax advisor, helping to ensure the appropriate recommendations are provided. Our goal-based planning works in conjunction with appropriate risk-adjusted investment management. Susannah lives in St. Petersburg with her husband Brian and two daughters. She is involved with volunteer activities through Shorecrest Preparatory School. In her leisure time she weight trains, travels and is an avid reader. THE MCS GROUP 5
6 Brian Malison, CRPS Corporate Retirement Director First Vice President Brian earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Tampa in Brian brings a high level of experience and expertise to our clients in the areas of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. He has extensive knowledge in helping plan sponsors facilitate their retirement plan designs which aim to maximize benefits for the owners and key executives of professional groups and mid-size private companies. He oversees the implementation and administration of both defined contribution and defined benefit plans. He assists clients with development and review of investment policy statements, manager searches, ongoing due diligence, and participant education services. He is recognized by Morgan Stanley's Corporate Client Group as a Corporate Retirement Director. Brian has been involved with and supported various foundations and philanthropic organizations in the community. He lives in St. Petersburg with his wife and two daughters. When away from work he is an avid boater, enjoys scuba diving and offshore fishing. Ginny Daniel Financial Advisor Ginny earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in Prior to joining The MCS Group at Morgan Stanley in 2012, Ginny spent four years overseeing marketing and communications for a large financial services firm. Within our practice, Ginny as a Financial Advisor is instrumental in gathering client information that is pertinent to the financial planning process. She works closely with our financial advisors seeking to help ensure that our clients ongoing planning needs are continually being met. Additionally, she assists with our retirement plan participants using our goal-based planning capabilities. Ginny is a third generation Floridian and resides in Tampa. She is an active volunteer through The Junior League of Tampa and serves on the board of directors. She is involved with the Tampa alumnae chapter of Tri Delta and the Tampa Gator Club. She enjoys cooking, biking and is an avid golfer. Lona Elly Client Service Associate Lona is originally from Maryland but has lived in Florida since She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from American University in Washington, D.C. Upon graduation she began a career in banking where she remained from After that she continued in the financial services industry working with major investment firms in many capacities, including 15 years of operations. From there she focused her efforts as a Client Service Associate working closely with financial advisors, including some of the financial advisors within our practice since Her knowledge and experience in operations helps benefit clients through her assistance with online enrollment and support, account related platforms, statement reviews, asset transfers for income needs, and helping to ensure all documents remain current. Lona resides with her husband in South Tampa where they raised three sons. She is involved with the Boy Scouts of America serving 27 years as a Scout Cubmaster. She also enjoys being a class manager at Jazzercise and spending time with her four grandchildren. 6 MORGAN STANLEY
7 Ed Wilson Registered Client Service Associate Ed earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Georgia State University in He worked for a major investment firm in the margin department where he gained experience with compliance issues, margin and option trading, and staff supervision. In 1990, Ed became securities licensed and worked alongside a group of advisors dealing with stock option plans and assisting individual investors. Ed is a native Floridian and returned to Tampa in 2000 to begin working with Christine and Susannah and became part of The MCS Group in He is a Registered Client Service Associate and is a valuable resource to both clients and the group. His responsibilities include assisting the team with securities trading, the preparation of client reviews and financial plans, the establishment of advisory accounts and the processing of any documentation. Ed lives in St. Petersburg and during his time away from the office he enjoys home renovation projects. His pets keep him busy and he cares for a chocolate lab and several greenwing macaws. He also likes taking motorcycle trips and camping.
