Agilent Automated Solder Joint Inspection System Medalist SJ 4.12.05.02 Software Release Notes The Agilent SJ 4.12.05.02 software release demonstrates the continued innovation and commitment to improvement in solder joint inspection by Agilent. As part of our continuing software enhancement and support service, Agilent Technologies is releasing the SJ 4.12.05.02 software to our valued customers. This is part of Agilent's software update service that provides additional value to the SJ50/sj5000 systems by offering new and improved algorithms and improved overall system stability. The revision SJ 4.12.05.02 has only been tested with a HP xw4400 running Windows XP Professional. The revision SJ 4.12.05.02 has not been tested or validated to run on Windows 2000 or any other controller type. Question: Do I need a new license? Answer: No! If you have software 4.12 already loaded, you already have a valid license to install 4.12.05.02 full release software. If you need to buy additional licenses, please contact Agilent's Technical Support. Software Installation Procedure: To install the new SJ 4.12.05.02 revision: 1. Exit out of the SJ-GUI application. 2. Backup the current AOInEngine.exe and sjgui.exe in c:\program Files\Agilent Technologies\SJ Series folder. 3. Unzip the package to a temporary location, example c:\temp folder. 4. Double click on setup.exe. 5. Select Yes. 6. Select Ok. 7. Select Finish to reboot your PC. 8. Download the appropriate PLC code from c:\cpi\plc into your PLC unit. Kindly refer to CR31163 under Bug Fixes section for more details.
Software Reversion Procedure: To revert to the previously installed version of the SJ 4.12.05.01 software, you will have to: 1. Go to the backup folder that you had created before installing this latest SJ 4.12.05.02 software. 2. Right click on AOInEngine.exe and select Register COM Server. 3. Double click on the sjgui.exe icon to launch the SJ GUI application. Terms & Conditions: Customer s Software license is transferable upon Agilent's receipt of the name, address and location of transferee and payment of any applicable fees to the extent permissible under local laws. Customer will immediately upon transfer deliver all copies of the Software to the transferee. The transferee must agree in writing to the terms of Customer's license. All license terms will be binding on involuntary transferees, notice of which is hereby given. Customer's license will automatically terminate upon transfer. Bug Fixes The "CR" numbers used below, refer to the Change Request numbers in Agilent's software tracking system. CR31163: Remark: Operator Interface - Display Cycle Time Enhancement On the Operators Interface, display the cycle time after each inspection has completed. The inspection and cycle time of each test will be displayed on the bottom right-hand side of the Operator interface and on the Engineer interface too. A new PLC code update is required for this enhancement to work, please check your machine configuration below: SJ50 Series 2 and 3 standard and dual lanes machine without staging: no PLC update is required SJ50 Series 2 and 3 XL machines: no PLC update is required SJ50 Series 2 and 3 standard machine with staging option installed: download CR32643-5794C6.swp SJ50 Series 2 and 3 dual lanes machine with staging option installed: the PLC code is not ready yet (tentatively be available in Jan 2010) sj5000 standard and dual lanes machine with or without staging option installed: download SJ-lowlaR79.cxt The new PLC code is located in c:\cpi\plc folder. CR31164: CR33519: CR33626: CR33640: Operator Interface - Display serial numbers of last 5 boards inspected Enhancement Display a table showing the last 5 serial numbers of boards inspected. A new interface will displays a list of boards with serial numbers inspected, indicating if they passed or failed an inspection. Upon selecting a board, it will display a list of reference designators of failed components. The table can be configured to display upto 50 serial numbers. Barcode_list.txt in 4.12.05 can crash SJ-GUI to crash Bug When using barcode_list.txt mode, software revision 4.12.05 will crash on the second inspection, if the barcode scanner failed to read a board serial number. Fixed Software revision 4.12.05 crashes too frequently Bug SJ software revision 4.12.05 crashes too frequently. Reported scenario is: 1. When loading a difference PLX 2. CR31163: Display Cycle Time The system inspection and cycle time is displayed on the Operator/Engineer interface as below: Cycle time Inspection time This is enabled through the "no_action_on_fail" entry in the config.txt: no_action_on_fail %d1 %d2 %d3 where %d2 should be set to 1, if user wishes the time taken for the last board inspection to be displayed in the bottom right corner of the SJ-GUI display.
