Milano, 12 March 2015 HVDP High Voltage Dynamic Power supply/source 1, 2.5 and 5kW Output DC + Sine Wave Family HVDP (High Voltage Dynamic Power) is a family of power supply/source designed to generate a wide range of output power waves. The HVDP here presented is the DC and output sine wave equipment.
HVDP 19 rack 6U box front panel The HVDP touch screen display is a smart interface for the operator. The figure shows the current screen displayed; other screens are available, by pushing the menu key, to enable other equipment features.
A set values are indicated on the screen, in the right position, and precisely: current (A); voltage (V); frequency (Hz). If the output is sine wave (frequency 0) the current and the voltage is the RMS value. These values can be set by the up-down arrows or by a keyboard showed on the screen when voltage, current or frequency digits are touched. On left position on the screen are indicated the actual output voltage (V) and actual output current (A) values. When the output is sine wave (frequency 0) the voltage and current showed are the RMS value. HVDP touch screen display
HVDP general FEATURES: output power up to 5kW output voltage up to ±1kV pk (700V rms ); output current up to 10A rms ; output regulation: voltage mode or/and current mode; power output shape: o sine wave from 20Hz to 500Hz up to 700V rms ; o DC from -800V dc to +800V dc output sine wave with positive and negative offset superimposed on voltage and/or in current; output sine wave with harmonics superimposed (i.e. 3 rd harmonic); input-output 10kV insulation. output line floating to earth; short circuit protection; friendly human interface with touch screen; remote control connection: Ethernet channel (ISO/IEEE 802/3) and by wireless WiFi connection; customer test stretch, based on several voltages, currents or frequencies, are easily programmable; easy programmable voltage and current positive and negative slope; easy programmable frequency slope; fast and accurate output voltage and current detection and monitoring; over 90% efficiency from 50% to 100% load; over 85% efficiency from 10% to 50% load. input line: single phase 230V ac or 400V ac ; 50 60Hz; The output of HVDP supply/source can be controlled in voltage, current and frequency. The output is insulated from the input line up to 10kV and is floating to earth. This is an important feature for operator safety. HVDP is equipped with a Ethernet channel (ISO/IEEE 802/3) to connect in local your PC or to allow a remote control by LAN. Moreover it is possible to connect the equipment by wireless WiFi.
HVDP APPLICATION: electronic circuit test; a.c. motor driver; electric motor test; power filter test; transformer test; electrical appliance test; current mode high power LED system driver; switch, relay and other electro-mechanical equipment test;
HVDP equipment can be controlled: by the touch screen display located on front panel. A friendly HVDP-HMI (HVDP Human Interface) software application, installed on the HVDP main processor, allows you to setup all the operational data (voltage, current, frequency, timing etc.) and to monitor run time all the parameters. The human interface is realized with an easy-to-use touch screen on a 7 inch, 260k colors display, integrated on HVDP front panel. by a PC connected by Ethernet (ISO/IEEE 802/3): by using your preferred browser: The HVDP has a built-in webserver: additional to the integrated display, it is possible to control the HVDP equipment by your PC connected by Ethernet (ISO/IEEE 802/3) or via WiFi wireless connection. All the features available on the HVDP display are proposed on the PC by using your preferred browser. It is possible
to load the operational data setup and to monitor run-time parameters from your PC, like from the integrated touch screen display. Of course you can use, instead your PC, other devices like tabled or mobile phone. by using HVDP protocol: Moreover it is possible to send to HVDP, by the Ethernet channel, command and monitoring functions. The HVDP command/monitoring function protocol is well documented in the technical datasheets. Some examples are available to easily develop your application. However L&F, on your request, can realize a customize application. HVDP-HMI follows you all the time during your work: from the GO to the STOP command. Moreover HVDP-HMI is able to give you, in real time, a lot of information about the output parameters: voltage, current, frequency, load cosφ, loads resistance, real power etc. HVDP is able to show, on the integrated display or on your PC screen, the voltage and current wave shape as on an oscilloscope.

The table 2 shows the boundary of the DC output operative area for 1kW, 2,5kW and 5kW HVDP. Inside this operative area it is possible to define output current setup and/or output voltage setup needed for a specific application.
