AL 1-1 Elyton Village Address - 31 4th Court West, Birmingham, AL 35204 Elyton Village Original Construction Date - 1940 Number of Units 478 CURRENT PROJECTS Modernization of 56 units including 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. Improvements include modern kitchens and bathrooms; new windows, doors, flooring, and ceilings; lighting, electrical, and plumbing upgrades; HVAC installed in each unit; increased unit size with the additional square footage. Site work (grading, drainage improvements, sod installation, sidewalks, parking lots) with the restoration of the Elyton Village Parkway as the central focus of the community. Revitalized community building/gymnasium including a revised layout of the facility with new ceilings, flooring; improved restrooms; modern features and fixtures; ADA accessible improvements; computer room; updated Residents Council office space. Construction completion date Fall 2015

With a partnership effort with Camiros, Inc., residents, neighborhood, and stakeholder meetings are on the horizon. HABD is gathering information from the community at large to determine the most responsible, responsive plan for Southtown Court. Updates will be highlighted on the HABD website and a dedicated transformation plan website. RECENT PROJECTS Submitted US Department of Housing and Urban (HUD) Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grant for the transformation of Southtown in August 2014; grant not awarded.

Tuxedo Terrace Address - 2025 Avenue Q Ensley, Birmingham 35218 Tuxedo Terrace Original Construction Date - 2010 Number of Units 220 RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECTS Tuxedo Court was revitalized with the 2003 HUD HOPE VI revitalization grant awarded to HABD. As a result, the original Tuxedo Court was demolished and Tuxedo Terrace was reconstructed. 220 units, sitework, ADA compliance, and new infrastructure were completed with the construction. Construction completion date November 2010 New clubhouse and community building management/rental office, new maintenance shop. ADA compliance and site work improvements. Construction completion date November 2010 Gateway Park. Construction completion January 2012 Twenty-one single family homes are constructed. Construction completion date August 2014 Linear trail, a pedestrian and bike trail, is a collaboration between HABD, City of Birmingham, and the Alabama Department of Transportation. The trail leads from the Tuxedo Terrace neighborhood to Bush Middle School June 2014 (by others)
