Invitation to the Seminar on Risk Management in International Factoring Mexico City, Mexico 01 03 December 2015 The FCI Technical Committees have worked closely together to bring a new series of seminars on Risk Management in International Factoring. After very successful seminars in three different continents in 2013 and 2014, we have held Risk Management Seminars in Shenzhen and Taipei, last April. For this Seminar, Mexico City has been selected as the venue. The Seminar is primarily meant for all FCI members and a select number of "observers" from the America s, but attendants from other parts of the world are welcome as well. Preventing and controlling risks are key advantages in successful risk and capital management, which in turn are critical to entrepreneurial success in the factoring industry. The repercussions of loose risk management infrastructure and education include fraud, commercial default, bankruptcy, operational error, and financial penalties stemming from a weak compliance environment, to name a few. Risk management is a constant challenge to all financial institutions. Factoring companies need to consistently develop and improve their operational and technical practices. It is a rapidly developing discipline and there are many and varied views and descriptions of what risk management in international factoring business involves and how it should be conducted. Risk management forms a key part of many business activities, and this seminar will help you successfully manage different risks in your organisation. This seminar will focus on 4 main themes relating to risk: Seller Risks in international factoring Buyer Risks in international factoring Operational Risks in international factoring Third Party / Compliance Risks in international factoring What will the Delegates learn? The seminar is designed to cover all risk factors in an international factoring transaction and to provide delegates with an understanding of the importance of internal controls and risk management in factoring operations. The seminar is also intended to give the attendants guidance on assessing the risk management and internal control environment in key functions such as seller selection & control, buyer control, including operations and third party risks. Who Should Attend? Anyone who is involved in managing, controlling and monitoring risk will benefit from this seminar such as employees from the Risk Department, Team Managers, Audit Managers, Compliance Managers, Relationship and Operation Managers etc., of factoring companies and/or bank factoring divisions.

In this seminar the presentations will be in the English language, but we will conduct special and separate group discussions in English for English speaking delegates and in Spanish for Spanish speaking delegates. The enclosed registration form is to be used for making the necessary reservations for the Mexico seminar. But please look also on the FCI Private Net, for the on line registration option! In case of any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Secretariat. On behalf of the FCI Education Committee, Yours sincerely, FACTORS CHAIN INTERNATIONAL The Secretariat Peter Mulroy Secretary General
