Installation and Configuration of VPN Software for Remote Spat Systems These instructions help you install AT&T Global Services and VPN Client (Extranet Access) software on your Windows computer for accessing Spat s network via the Internet using VPN (virtual private network). You should receive a CD-ROM containing two installation programs (ATTsetup.exe and VPNclient.exe), as well as a sheet with information about your AT&T Global Services account (one information sheet per user). Contact System Administration if you have any problems or questions about this installation. You will need to be connected to a modem (or DSL line, cable modem, etc.) to complete the configuration portion of VPN Client setup. Installing AT&T Global Services This section tells you how to install the software for AT&T Global Services. This supplies ISP access for VPN for dial-up modem users. Users with DSL or cable modem connections (which supply constant ISP access) do not need this service for a VPN connection. You will need your AT&T Global Services account information sheet for this installation. 1. Insert the CD containing the ATTsetup.exe executable, and view the contents using Explorer (or My Computer); there is no autorun program. 2. Double-click on the file ATTsetup.exe to start the installation. 3. A welcome screen for AT&T Global Network Dialer is displayed. Click Next to continue 4. The Legal Agreement screen is displayed. Click I agree to accept the agreement. 5. A screen indicating the type of installation (location for installing the software) is displayed. Select Typical to install in the default location on the C: drive (if you need to install in a different location, select Custom and follow the on-screen instructions). Click 6. A screen for starting the installation is displayed. Click Start Install. This will extract and then launch the InstallShield wizard. This may take a few moments. 7. A screen indicating the installation is complete is displayed. Click Yes, continue setup. 8. A Dialer Setup screen is displayed. Click 9. A screen asking Do you have an account? is displayed. Select the top option, Yes, I have a personal Internet account and click 10. A screen requesting your account and ID information is displayed. Enter the account number and User ID from your AT&T Global Services account information sheet. Click 11. A screen for modem selection is displayed. The modem installed on your system should be highlighted. Click 12. A screen for setting up calling locations is displayed (see first screen below). Click the Change button beside the box for entering the location you would like to call. This pops up a new screen (see second screen below) for selecting a telephone number. VPN Installation Page 1 of 7

a. Select a local telephone number (local to the area from which you will be calling most of the time) from the list. b. Select the specific form of the telephone number to use (for example, area code plus seven digits). c. Click OK to return to the previous screen. VPN Installation Page 2 of 7

13. In the calling locations screen (from step 12), set a backup telephone number. Click the Change button beside the box for entering the backup number you would like to call. This pops up a new screen for selecting a telephone number, just as in step 12. Set a backup number following the instructions in step 12. Then, click 14. A screen indicating that setup is complete is displayed. Select Yes, start login when Finished is pressed, then click Finish. This attempts a connection and allows you to set your password. Note: This should be performed even if you are not connected to a modem, in order to set your password. Step 15 below assumes you are not connected. 15. An AT&T Global Network Login screen is displayed. a. Enter the password from your AT&T Global Services account information sheet. b. Click the save password box to mark this action. c. Click Connect; this will try to make a connection. If you are not connected to a modem, this will fail, but your password will still be set. When an error message pops up due to inability to find a modem, click OK to return to the login screen. d. Click Cancel in the login screen. e. A new AT&T Global Network screen is displayed. Close the window (using the X box, or Network Exit). Installing Extranet VPN Client You will need to reboot your computer during the installation, so you should exit all other applications before running the installation. You will need to be connected to a modem (or DSL line, cable modem, etc.) to complete the configuration portion of the VPN Client setup (in the following section). However, the initial installation can be done even if you are not connected. You must be logged on with administrator privileges to install the Extranet VPN Client software on your computer. 1. Insert the CD containing the VPNclient.exe executable, and view the contents using Explorer (or My Computer); there is no autorun program. 2. Double-click on the file VPNclient.exe to start the installation. This will extract and then launch the InstallShield wizard. This may take a few moments. 3. An Extranet Access Client welcome screen is displayed. Click Next to continue 4. The License Agreement screen is displayed. Click Yes to accept the agreement. 5. A Choose Destination Location screen is displayed. Click Next to continue, or Browse to enter a new location for the installation. 6. A Select Program Folder screen is displayed. To use the default program folder (which will be assumed in these instructions), click 7. A screen for selecting how to install and run will be displayed (see below). a. If you have a dial-up modem, select Install and run as an Application (default) b. If you have a DSL line or cable modem, select Install and run as a service. (Domain Login) c. Click VPN Installation Page 3 of 7

8. A Start Copying Files screen is displayed. Click This will copy files and install them. This may take a few minutes. 9. A screen displaying the Readme.txt file for Extranet Access Client is displayed. Click 10. An InstallShield Wizard Complete screen is displayed. Your computer should now be rebooted. Select Yes, I want to restart my computer now, then click Finish. This will reboot your computer. 11. When the system reboots (and you log back on), the Nortel Networks folder should be open. Click on the Extranet Access Client icon and drag and drop it to your desktop to create a shortcut. The configuration portion of Extranet VPN Client setup (next section) requires an Internet connection via modem, DSL, cable modem, etc. to complete. VPN Installation Page 4 of 7

Configuring Extranet VPN Client After your computer reboots following the VPN Client installation and you log on, you need to configure the client. You will need to be connected to the Internet via a modem (or DSL line, cable modem, etc.) to complete this portion of the setup. 1. Click on the Extranet Access Client shortcut on your desktop (refer to step 11 in the installation section). Click Yes in response to the question Would you like to use the Connection Wizard? 2. A New Connection Profile screen is displayed, in which you can provide a name and description for this connection profile. Click 3. An Authentication Type screen is displayed. Select Username and Password. Click 4. A User Identification screen is displayed. Enter your NT logon username and password, and check the Save Password box. Click 5. A Group Authentication Information screen is displayed (see below). Select Yes, I have a Group ID and Group Password and enter ID /base and password spad123 then click Group Password: spad123 6. This is the screen that will normally come up when you click on the Extranet Access Client shortcut. Click Connect. (If you are connected using DSL or a cable modem, or if you already connected to the Internet using AT&T Global Network, you do not need to select anything in the Dial-up box.)
