Introduction Intransa Intransa, the VideoAppliance Company, is the recognized leader in simple, scalable and reliable IP appliance platforms for video surveillance, access control and other physical security needs. The patented Video and Data Management & Retention (VDMR) technology eliminates the risk, expense and complexity of adapting commodity hardware - designed for IT needs like word processing and email - for the 24x7x365 non-stop operational challenges of physical security. A single appliance can replace commodity servers and supporting storage 2, 3, or 4 for 1, while slashing equipment and energy costs, improving reliability and eliminating support headaches. Intransa VideoAppliances are tightly integrated with leading Access Control systems, like Lenel, as well as with video management systems and IP camera vendors. This eliminates the need for significant bench time and onsite testing, and instead appliances are typically up and ready to go in 5 minutes or less, right out of the box. Customers around the world already take advantage of Intransa VideoAppliance. Announced in June of 2009, the product has received industry recognition too, including at ASIS 2009 as a New Product of the Year (Security Products), one of the Top 30 Technology Innovations of 2009 (Security Sales & Integration), and by the Security Industry Association at ISC West 2010 as the Best in Video Storage & Distribution. Lenel Lenel focuses on developing products that enable organizations to effectively protect and manage their people, property and assets by maximizing IT and infrastructure investments. Lenel's flagship security platform, OnGuard, seamlessly integrates a full suite of security management functions and technologies using an open architecture design. OnGuard offers access control, ID credential issuance and management, alarm monitoring, digital video surveillance and management, real-time digital video content analysis, intelligent audio, integration of biometric technologies, intrusion detection, visitor management and smart card functionality, plus integration with a multitude of third party systems. Individual applications are available as standalone systems, or can be deployed in any combination to deliver a single integrated solution that uniquely satisfies each customer's particular needs. OnGuard systems offer unlimited scalability, and localization support for major world languages. With over 18,000 system installations in more than 93 countries worldwide, Lenel boasts a blue chip customer base with a strong presence in a broad range of vertical markets including healthcare, government, critical infrastructure, education, petrochemical, manufacturing, and telecom. The company has earned numerous awards for technology innovation, growth, market leadership and customer satisfaction. Lenel is part of UTC Fire & Security, a business unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX). www.intransa.com / Intransa, the VideoAppliance TM Company 3

Intransa Technology Labs Hundreds of physical security applications including video surveillance, access control, video analytics, cameras, DVRs, NVRs, life safety and utilities have been tested and certified with Intransa solutions through the Intransa Technology Labs. Also certified are a wide variety of imaging, IT and technology products, ensuring risk free integration with Intransa VideoAppliance. Product Profile: Intransa VideoAppliance simplifies physical security Maximum Simplicity Server/Storage Appliances are ready right out of the box. Each comes with a choice of leading Physical Security Application software (in this case, Intransa SELECT ELITE Certified Lenel OnGuard) ready to be initialized and running in five minutes or less. They are ideal for multiple access control IP door controllers and storing data from hundreds of access control cards, and a single appliance can scale from days to years of recording. Access Control, Video Management and video analytics products can be run simultaneously on the same VideoAppliance, thanks to the power of Multi-Mode. Multi-Mode is a feature of our patented Video and Data Management & Retention (VDMR) technology, enabling a single Intransa VideoAppliance to replace 2, 3, 4 or more complicated commodity servers and storage hardware. Multi-Mode options are Duo-Mode (replace 2 servers and storage), Tri-Mode (replace 3) or Flex-Mode (replace 4 or more). VDMR technology also includes our patent-pending Video Surveillance Optimization (VSOP) which reduces overall storage requirements while improving performance, capacity and reliability. VDMR also includes advanced software-based RAID 5 and 6 data protection, eliminating the risk of lost video, and the unique Video System Administrator (VSA) Console graphical user interface (GUI). The VSA Console enables installation of Intransa Server/Storage Appliances in just minutes, and additional storage capacity can be just plugged in without halting recording or other operations, and without rewiring. System changes are implemented with the VSA Console GUI that operates just like a familiar camera/storage estimator and uses physical security terminology, instead of requiring knowledge of complex IT storage terminology and technology. Intransa VideoAppliance allows physical security users to choose from a wide range of different appliances depending on the application needs. This further reduces complexity, since performance and recording capacity are known in advance and eliminate most application and installation testing requirements. www.intransa.com / Intransa, the VideoAppliance TM Company 4

Connect the Intransa VideoAppliance Cabling 2. Power Cabling: Connect the supplied AC power cord(s) to the AC power connector on the back of the VA chassis. If connecting the VA210 or VA320, it is recommended that each power cord be on a separate circuit. 3. Peripheral Cabling: Directly connect a keyboard, video monitor, and mouse (KVM) to the rear of the VideoAppliance. Note: If using a VA210 equipped with the Advanced Viewing option, the VGA port is disabled and the DVI port must be used. Any one of the DVI, HDMI or VGA ports may be used on a VA320 with Advanced Viewing option. 4. VA110 Ethernet Cabling: Connect 2 Ethernet cables between the ports (Link1 and Link 2) on the VA110 and a switch on the network that it will be joining. VA210 Ethernet Cabling: Connect Link 1 and Link 2 together using an Ethernet cable. Connect another Ethernet cable between the camera port and a switch on the network that the physical security devices (e.g. IP door controllers) are located on. Finally connect an Ethernet cable between the Viewing port and a switch on the network that the Viewing Station is located on. For port naming, see the diagram on the next page. Power Up Procedure 5. Press the Power Button on the front of the Intransa VideoAppliance. 6. After the VideoAppliance boots up, the Windows Login screen appears. Enter the factory default Password (intransa). 7. Individual Multi-Mode Appliance Differences Different Intransa-Windows background screens help quickly identify the application mode the VMS, access control, video analytics or other software is operating in. After startup, changing modes will make the differences clear, thanks to Flex-Mode capability. On Duo-Mode VA110, VA110tr, VA210 and VA320 Server/Storage Appliances, the Intransa Windows Green Tree screen (top, left) is the default that will appear. The final mode is the VSA GUI. On Tri-Mode VA110, VA110tr, VA210 and VA320 Server/Storage Appliances, the Intransa Windows Green Tree screen is the default screen that will appear in app mode 1. App mode 2 will feature the Intransa Windows Winter Tree screen will appear in app mode 2 (2 nd from top, left). As always, the final mode is the VSA GUI. On Flex-Mode VA320 Server/Storage Appliances, additional app modes can have additional Intransa Windows screens, like the Tropical Tree or Sunset Tree. Verify that Drive letter I: (Start>Computer) has been assigned for the video storage. 8. Insert the USB flash drive included in the accessory kit and follow the on-screen instructions to install the physical security software. How to Activate & Configure Lenel OnGuard 9.
