WINDOWS XP with Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 1. Click the Start button and select Control Panel: 2. If your control panel looks like this: Click Switch to Classic View. 3. Double click Mail.
4. Click show profiles, then the Add button: 5. Give the new profile a name, i.e. Exchange and click OK: IF USING OUTLOOK 2003, IGNORE 5a & 5b, CONTINUE TO STEP 6 5a. IF USING OUTLOOK 2007, simply enter your name, email and password in the Auto Account Setup window and click Next: (If prompted to allow secure.enlightek.com to configure your settings, check the box for always allow and click OK. ) Then click Finish:
5b. OUTLOOK 2007 IS NOW CONFIGURED, CONTINUE TO STEP 12. CONTINUE STEPS 6 11 FOR OUTLOOK 2003: 6. Select add new email account and click next: 7. Select Microsoft Exchange Server and click next:
8. In the Microsoft Exchange Server field, enter ex1.enlightek.com. Make sure Use Cached Exchange Mode is checked and enter your email address in the User Name field. Click the More Settings button. NOTE: When you click More Settings, you may get the following error message and this is expected behavior. Simply click OK to continue
and then click OK: 9. Click the Connection tab and check Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP checkbox. Then click Exchange Proxy Settings : 10. Enter secure.enlightek.com in the Use this URL field. Make sure every checkbox on this screen is checked. Enter msstd:secure.enlightek.com in the Principal name for proxy server field. Select NTLM Authentication under Proxy authentication settings and click OK:
11. Click OK again to get back to the Exchange Server Settings window and then click Next:
..and then finish: 12. To prevent authentication popup each time you open Outlook, add stored credentials for enlightek.com: a. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. b. In Control Panel, click User Accounts under Pick a category to open the User Accounts dialog box. c. Open the Stored User Names and Passwords dialog box; to do so, use the appropriate method: If you log on with a limited account: a. Under Related Tasks, click Manage my network passwords. If you log on with an account with administrative privileges: a. Under or pick an account to change, click your user account to open the What do you want to change about your account? dialog box. b. Under Related Tasks, click the Manage my network passwords. d.. In the Stored User Names and Passwords dialog box, click Add to open the Logon Information Properties dialog box. e. In the Server or log on to box, type *.enlightek.com. Enter your email address as your username and enter your password. Set the credential type to Windows logon credential and click OK to save the new entry.
13. Go back into Mail under Control Panel and click show profiles. (steps 1 3). Select always use this profile and choose the newly created profile from the pull down list: 14. When you open Outlook for the first time, you will be prompted for your username and password. Your username is your email address. Check Remember my password if you don t wish to enter your password each time you open Outlook. (This only works with XP Professional or Vista Business/Ultimate.
