Edexcel s BTEC International Certificate in Technical Communications Programme Overview This International Certificate training programme is designed for the vocational graduate from the technical and business background who needs to enhance his competencies and skills in the technical and business communication areas. Its aims are to provide the learner with the necessary tools and knowledge to be able to work in a technical and professional environment and pursue their careers and develop themselves into management and leadership roles. Assessment A total of 30 hours of assessments are included within the Units. Assessments shall be based on each student achieving the respective learning outcomes of each Unit and should obtain a PASS if all Learning Outcomes for each Unit is achieved. Assessment methods include individual and group assignments, classroom based activities, reports and presentations. Details shall be provided to each student upon commencement of the programme. Duration: 30 days based on a daily 8 hour Teaching and Learning sessions from 0830 hours 1800 hours with an hour for lunch and 15 minutes each for morning and afternoon tea breaks. Methodology (Implementation Plan) Delivery : Lecture, discussion, case study, audiovisuals and projects Assessment : Formative and Summative Assessments conducted by way of Presentations, Written Reports and Written Assessments. Individual and Group assignment and Projects.
